Can an ‘independent-minded Democrat’ do what no one has done since 1932: win in ruby-red Kansas?

Rev. Adam Hamilton is a pastor at a megachurch in the suburbs of Kansas City. He also believes he is the right man to turn a Kansas Senate seat blue for the first time since 1932. He says his experience pastoring a church with 9,000 Republicans and 9,000 Democrats means he knows how to listen to voters on both sides of the aisle. Hamilton says, “I’ve spent my ministry, 38 years, bringing people together, as opposed to dividing them.”
