Scott Jamieson shot a fine final round of 67 to end his 14-year drought and make it back-to-back Scottish winners at the Nexo Championship at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire.

It was just a second DP World Tour triumph for the 42-year-old Glaswegian, with his last success coming in 2012.

He finished on 11 under par, two shots clear of overnight leader Matthew Jordan, with fellow Englishman Andy Sullivan third on seven under.

“Fourteen years, that’s wild,” an emotional Jamieson told Sky Sports, referencing his previous title in South Africa.

“It’s so hard to win. I was so patient all day and I just can’t believe I’ve won.

“Trying to win is enjoyable. But the position I was in this year, I was starting to get towards the business end of the season but didn’t have a lot of points.

“To win and get a couple of years of free goes is nice.

“I felt I was hitting the ball well and feeling good but that doesn’t always translate into good results, but it did this week. I’m sure we’ll have fun tonight.”

Scottish pair Euan Walker and Connor Syme were among those in a share of 10th place on four under.

Defending champion Grant Forrest endured a tough Sunday, with a score of 80 taking him to a 10 over total.
