A 73-year-old woman died Wednesday evening after she was found unconscious in a residential pool in Boucherville, Longueuil police said, adding there was nothing to indicate foul play.

The woman was found around 2:20 p.m. in a pool on Corbon St., police said. When officers arrived, they pulled her from the water and began performing CPR.

Paramedics then took over and transported the woman to a hospital.

Police say an investigation into the cause and circumstances of the incident is ongoing. An autopsy will be performed to help determine the cause of death.
