FSU is coming off a 13-1 season and an ACC title in 2023. The Noles went 13-0 during the regular season, but were controversially left out of the College Football Playoff. Georgia Tech is coming off a 7-6 season in 2023, which included a bowl game victory and two wins over ranked opponents. The Yellow Jackets' bowl game victory marked their first time playing in the postseason since 2018.
Kickoff is set for noon ET on Saturday at Aviva Stadium in Dublin. The Seminoles are favored by 10.5 points in the latest Florida State vs. Georgia Tech odds, while the over/under is 55.5 points, per SportsLine consensus. Now, Kaylor has dialed in on Georgia Tech vs. FSU in the College Football Classic and just revealed his picks and predictions. You can head to SportsLine now to see his picks. Here are the college football odds and betting lines for FSU vs. Georgia Tech:
Florida State lost several offensive stars from last year's roster to the NFL, but it reloaded by landing Oregon State grad transfer DJ Uiagalelei. He has played in 48 games during his career at Clemson and Oregon State, going 30-10 in 40 career starts. Uiagalelei has a favorable matchup in his first start with the Seminoles, as Georgia Tech was among the worst defensive teams in the ACC last season.
Florida State head coach Mike Norvell added a pair of impactful transfers from Alabama in running back Roydell Williams and wide receiver Malik Benson, who are both sitting atop the depth chart heading into Saturday's game. Georgia Tech led the ACC in rushing offense last season, but it is facing an elite Florida State defensive line. The Seminoles have won 12 consecutive games against ACC opponents, while the Yellow Jackets are just 1-5 in their last six season openers. See which team to pick here.
Georgia Tech is one of the most experienced teams in the country with 17 returning starters from their 2023 team that was victorious in the 2023 Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl. Most notably, the Yellow Jackets return a difference maker at the quarterback position in junior Haynes King. In his first season with Georgia Tech, the former Texas A&M transfer completed 61.6% of his passes for 2,841 yards, 27 touchdowns and 16 interceptions, and rushed for 737 yards and 10 TDs.
Head coach Brent Key and his staff also return four starting offensive linemen, leading rusher Jamal Haynes, and its top-two receivers (Eric Singleton Jr. and Malik Rutherford). Georgia Tech led the ACC in rushing in 2023, and had one of the top overall offenses in the country. With an added year of experience, this group could be one of the most explosive offenses in the country. See which team to pick here.
