For Angel Reese and Co., the September 3rd showdown against the Las Vegas Aces is a must-win. As one of the four teams in contention for the final playoff spot, adding a loss to their existing 6-game losing streak is a big no for the Sky. More so, as they tie with Atlanta Dream at 11-21 in the standings. Ready for the battle is rookie Angel Reese, already winning the fashion game off court.

Before even hitting the hardwood against A’ja Wilson, “Chi-town Barbie” made waves with her pregame fit as she walked through the tunnel of Michelob ULTRA Arena. Today, she decided to pull up in an all-white outfit by Italian fashion brand Miu Miu. For those unaware, the brand is a sister company of the fashion powerhouse Prada.

Wrapping the glam, Reese completed her look with a pair of glasses, a white purse to go with, and black heels. Making waves off the court isn’t new for her. Each time she enters the WNBA tunnel, she ensures it’s nothing short of a fashion runway.

This time too, she left an indelible mark on fans’ hearts with her outfit. Her fit was rather in contrast to Las Vegas Aces veteran A’ja Wilson’s, who has been opting for a simple white tee over the last few games. For the league’s leading scorer, her simple T-shirts are symbolic of focusing on the game as the team struggled, posting more losses than their previous two campaigns. And that’s how Reese won the off-court battle against fashion icon A’ja Wilson. But what are fans gossiping about?

Reese hasn’t shied away from wearing the colors for her pre-game fits. A blue bodycon, a yellow three-piece coord, a pink mini-skirt, all have been the Sky rookie’s wardrobe off late. Now watching the LSU Tigress opt for something minimal, an X user penned, “Classy and sophisticated, well done, sister.”

Another shared the sentiment, writing, “Classy dress and beautiful hair. Beautiful young woman. Good luck tonight!!” Well, Reese has been breaking records every game with her rebounds and double-doubles, but the same hasn’t been the case for Sky recently. So a little luck, Reese can use.

Then with the all-white outfit, Reese was believed to be “Looking like the angel she truly is.”

Since being drafted as No. 7 by the Chicago Sky, the 22-year-old Maryland native has truly been a standout. Currently, she has 25 double-doubles and recently posted the most rebounds in a single season, adding to the many records she has incurred this season. So as the ROTY debate heats up, Reese it topping it off with her fashion game for some. “Looks like the ROTY to me,” added another.

As of now, she holds the record for being the first rookie ever to record the most double-doubles. She’s also the rebounding leader with an impressive 13.1 rebounds per game, making her only one step away from the Rookie of the Year title. However, not everyone seemed satisfied with Reese’s fashion walk.

“Can’t win a game but thinks every walk into a basketball arena is a runway,” wrote another user. The Sky has lost seven of the eight games played post-Olympic break and without their leading scorer, Chennedy Carter, it has only been so challenging. Both the rookies, Kamilla Cardoso and Reese, may have taken the reins, but to no avail.

Well, as the playoff spot is up for grabs, the need of the hour is to concentrate on winning. What do you think?
