The Timberwolves and Mavericks square off Tuesday night for a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Minnesota is a five-point favorite for this game and this contest’s total is set at 221.5 points. Below, I have featured my favorite Edwards player props to bet from this matchup.

Edwards has made a clear effort to shoot more three-pointers this season. After averaging only 6.7 three-point attempts per game last season, the superstar is averaging a whopping 13.7 attempts from beyond the arc this season, which is the highest average in the NBA by a solid gap. Ranking second is Tyrese Maxey with 12.7 per game.

The Timberwolves as a whole have been very active from three-point land this season, ranking fifth in the league in three-point attempts after ranking 23rd in the category a year ago. This is an obvious attempt to model their game after the Celtics, who convincingly won the NBA championship last season while leading the NBA in three-pointers made and attempted by a mile.

With Edwards shooting a league-high 13.7 threes per game this season, the wing has knocked down five threes in each of his three starts. Edwards is shooting a career-best 38% on three-pointers and he is facing a Mavericks team Tuesday that could be sluggish on the defensive end. Dallas defeated the Jazz in a close eight-point tilt Monday and quickly had to travel to Minnesota afterward for Tuesday’s matchup with the Timberwolves. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Minnesota’s implied team total is up to a high 113.5 points.

This 3.5-three-pointer line is far too low for the long-range shooting volume Edwards is seeing this season and he needs to be backed to go over this line Tuesday.

Anthony Edwards Props to Target

Over 3.5 Three-Pointers Made

The Timberwolves offense is predicated on generating three-point opportunities and Edwards will be at the center of that strategy against the Mavericks. Dallas isn’t exactly known for its defensive prowess as a team this season, and Edwards should have plenty of opportunities to score from deep. Expect Edwards to clear 3.5 three-pointers made at a solid price.

Over 28.5 Points

Edwards has scored 28 points or more in two of his three games this season and the Timberwolves star has averaged 27.7 points per game for his career. He will be tasked with carrying the offensive load for Minnesota against a Mavericks team that will likely deploy a game plan designed to try and slow down Edwards.

Conclusion: Betting on Edwards

Edwards is a prolific scorer and he has the capability to be a truly explosive offensive player when his jumper is falling. He is averaging the highest three-point attempts per game in the entire NBA. He is a high-volume shooter who has been hitting his shots at a very efficient rate. He will have a good matchup against the Mavericks, who have struggled defensively at times early this season. Bet on Edwards to make a lot of threes and score a lot of points.
