The saying goes that you're meant to spend your New Years the way you want the incoming 12 months to look. So ringing in 2025 absolutely sending it in the Victorian countryside at Beyond The Valley is truly the way to do it - especially with this monster line-up.
For weeks Beyond The Valley have been teasing their technicolour campaign signalling in the largest music festival’s return whilst promising huge things from the lineup. Knowing their track record of producing the stellar selections of lineup curation, there was no doubt it would be huge but their announcement today is mindmelting.
Soundtracked by their most expansive collection of artists to date, Beyond The Valley’s ninth edition is looking to be something special, featuring artists including FISHER, Ice Spice, Chase & Status, Marlon Hoffstadt, Tinashe, Royel Otis, Sammy Virji, Sugababes, Natasha Bedingfield, AJ Tracey, Denis Sulta and much more.
Following a sold out 2023 edition, Beyond The Valley 2024 has pulled all the stops for it’s ninth year. As supported by triple j and presented by the largest independent music promoter in Australia, Untitled Group, Beyond The Valley will welcome in the new year with ‘Losing It’ and ‘Boost Up’ banger-bringer and festival headliner, FISHER. Following his biggest year of international touring yet with a swathe of shows across the US and Europe over the past year, Grammy-nominated Gold Coast dance sensation FISHER triumphantly returns to home soil for Beyond The Valley.
FISHER is joined by American drill queen with pop power, Ice Spice. After breaking out with her TikTok viral 2022 song ‘Munch (Feelin’ U)’, Ice Spice has cemented her place in pop culture and followed up with a string of huge global tracks including collaborations with Nicki Minaj, PinkPantheress and Taylor Swift, and dropped her debut album Y2K! last month.
British Drum ‘n’ Bass duo Chase & Status have experienced a second coming in recent years taking advantage of the genre’s renaissance, dropping a string of huge singles including ‘Disconnect’ with Becky Hill, ‘Baddadan’, and more recently, the Stormzy-featuring ‘Backbone’ which earned Chase & Status their first ever UK #1.
Berlin DJ and producer Marlon Hoffstadt, aka DJ Daddy Trance, has been riding a wave of success in recent years. With a string of hit singles like ‘It’s That Time’ and ‘Call Me,’ Hoffstadt has made a name for himself on the global stage. Known for his sugary, rave-forward beats, Hoffstadt’s high-energy sets have captivated audiences worldwide.
Back on the Australian front, Sydney duo Royel Otis will be hoping up to do their duo thing. Whilst ‘Oyster In My Pocket’ shot them to heights as their breakout single, their covers of Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’ and Cranberries ‘Linger’ have locked them into the scene.
Topping their nostalgia fest that was Nelly Furtado’s appearance in 2022, Beyond The Valley have gone double trouble on the pop throwbacks. The first are Sugababes who became one of the most successful British girl bands of the 21st century with six UK Number One singles, millions of global sales and multiple multi-platinum albums. Tracks ‘Round Round’, ‘Push The Buttons’, ‘Too Lost In You’, ‘About You Now’ and ‘Overload’ landed the girls their spot at the pop table but it was their story that captured the generation. Fast forward two decades, the original line up of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy arrived back in full force becoming the talk of the summer festivals including having to shut down their field at Glastonbury due to demand.
They’re joined on the lineup by fellow brit and Grammy-winning Natasha Bedingfield, best known for smash hits like ‘Unwritten’, which soundtracked The Hills for its six seasons across the early 00’s and had a resurgence thanks to one particular meme and it’s appearance in Anyone But You, and ‘These Words’, will bring a whopping dose of 2000s nostalgia to Beyond The Valley this year.
On the live music front, Valley Stage artists include Tinashe, Sammy Virji, Confidence Man, Teenage Dads, NEIL FRANCES, Lola Young, Ghetts, The Rions, BARKAA, Kita Alexander, The Grogans, Billie Marten, The Terrys, Sycco and more.
Beyond The Valley will also feature some of the biggest names in electronic music including horsegiirL, KI/KI, DJ BORING, SG Lewis, JOY (Anonymous), Tinlicker (Dj Set), Ben Hemsley, Avalon Emerson, Sam Alfred, Sally C, LB aka Labat, Chloé Caillet, Flowdan & Neffa-T and many more.
Outside of the music space, Beyond The Valley is known for their activations and on-site experiences. One of the returning favourites is the podcast stage and by lord do they have some goodies in the pipeline.
