Brian wrote several tracks for Queen and later embarked on a solo career. He released two solo albums - Back to the Light and Another World - in the 1990s.

From 1970 to 1974, he also pursued a PhD degree at Imperial College, but he left his studies when Queen began to rise to fame. Brian eventually completed his PhD, submitting his thesis in 2007. He graduated in May 2008.

Brian's impressive music career, coupled with his various other ventures, has reportedly amassed him a staggering net worth of $260 million (£199m), as per Celebrity Net Worth. In 2019, he was estimated to be worth £160m, earning him a spot on The Sunday Times Rich List.

His wife is also a well-known figure. Brian is married to actress Anita Dobson, famed for her role as Angie Watts in EastEnders during the 1980s. The pair first met in 1986 and tied the knot in 2000, remaining together since then. Anita was the muse behind Brian's 1989 hit song I Want It All.

Before meeting Anita, Brian was previously married to Christine Mullen. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1988. Brian and Christine share three children; James, Louisa and Emily Ruth.
