And Doireann is taking her impending matrimony very seriously with family and friends ‘on lockdown’ over her wedding plans. ‘The wedding is on in the first week of November, so the whole family is on countdown,’ said a source. ‘But they’ve been sworn to secrecy not to give away too many details about the wedding.’
While Doireann is trying to keep the finer details of her November wedding under wraps, she has plans to make one member of her family a big part of her day — her King Charles Cavalier dog, Bertie. ‘There’s talk of Bertie playing some sort of a part in the ceremony. Being a ring-bearer but trying to teach a dog to behave and play ring bearer duties isn’t as easy as they thought,’ said a separate source .

And last week Doireann and her mum headed to Cork for a ‘wedding-related’ shopping day. Speaking to her followers, the 32-year-old said: ‘We’re on the road, we’re Cork bound for some wedding related shopping Clare – oh very exciting.’
Opting for a perfectly on trend ‘bubble’ mini dress, Ailbhe left the kids at home and headed off to Barcelona to celebrate ahead of her sibling’s upcoming nuptials with fiancé Mark Mehigan. Doireann's sisters Ailbhe and Aoibhin have been busy planning the hen party, with Ailbhe previously revealing that they were heading abroad for the big celebrations. Speaking on her Doireann & Friends podcast back in June, the RTÉ star asked her sister: “What are the plans for my hen that you can fill me in on?” Ailbhe replied “We’re going abroad”, to which a delighted Doireann exclaimed: “Un-f**king-believable.” And her older sister dished out some more details, adding: “12 of your nearest and dearest, they’re all in. They were straight back saying ‘we’re in’”. The RTÉ star is set to wed her comedian beau Mark Mehigan in October, after announcing their engagement last December. Weeks before their big day, the presenter was whisked off to Barcelona by her sisters Ailbhe and Aoibhin to celebrate her hen with her closest gal pals. The group were also joined by Doireann’s mum Clare, who kicked off the celebrations early in the airport. Taking to Instagram on Friday morning, the Dancing with the Stars host shared a video with her mother in the airport drinking Prosecco. In the witty video, Doireann and Clare lipsynced along to a famous audio clip from The Hangover movie, saying: “We are back baby, we are f***ing back!” The bride-to-be was dressed in a white top for their travels, complete with a veil and white pearl embellished sunglasses.
For night one of the hen, Doireann wowed in a white Rebecca Vallance mini dress, which featured gold shell embellished details. The dress usually retails at €700, but is currently on sale here for €490. That evening, Doireann’s sisters surprised her with a white Hummer limo to take them to the W Barcelona, where she partied the night away with her bridal party. In a video shared by Ailbhe, Doireann was seen laughing as the limo pulled up on the street. The following day, Doireann’s hen squad spent the day out on a boat, where they enjoyed some bubbles. That night, the group got all glammed up for round two, as they enjoyed another night of partying into the early hours. The bride-to-be upped the style stakes once again as she opted for a cream satin mini dress from Self-Portrait. The dress, which features a diamanté bralette and can be bought here, is priced at €475. It’s understood Doireann and Mark have booked The K Club for their lavish wedding, which is bound to be a star-studded occasion. The five-star resort isn’t too far from where the couple live in Castleknock, in the home Doireann purchased back in 2022.
