Emmerdale viewers have warned Will Taylor not to start a war with Kim after it was revealed that she was the mastermind behind the blackmail plot against him.
Viewers of the ITV soap saw Kim reveal her role in the blackmail after tricking Will into digging his own grave and then knocking him into it. They had been arguing about their relationship after Kim discovered that Will had cheated on her with Rose.
In Thursday’s episode, Kim was back at Home Farm, feeling very pleased with her revenge after she tricked Will into thinking she’d been kidnapped.
She told her husband that she absolutely deserves better than him, and now wants him to sign over everything he owns.
Instead of rolling over and allowing Kim to win, Will questioned her and asked if she cared at all that he spent the night in a grave in the middle of the woods.
Kim’s cold bravado gave the impression she didn’t feel the tiniest bit of guilt. She was focused on getting back what she deserves, and wasn’t going to let her emotions get in the way.
Will is convinced their marriage can be saved but for Kim, who took off her wedding rings at the end of the episode, it’s clear she knows she won’t ever be able to trust Will again.
Will’s Blackmail
Earlier this week, Will had begged nemesis Caleb Miligan for a £40K loan to pay off the blackmailer, promising that Caleb could have his shares in the haulage firm if he didn't pay it in three months.
With the cash in hand for his blackmailer, Will had to confess to best mate and business partner Jimmy King that he'd gone behind his back to take a loan from Caleb. Jimmy was furious over the betrayal since Will had tried to stop him from taking a buyout offer from Caleb a few weeks ago.
When Will arrived back at Home Farm for lunch, he discovered that Kim was missing. He soon received a phone call from the blackmailer revealing they'd kidnapped Kim.
Will was given specific instructions to deliver the money, or Kim would be harmed. A panicked Will rushed to the woods to try to find his kidnapped partner. He seemingly spotted an unconscious Kim on the ground, but as he got closer, he discovered it was a lifesize dummy dressed up in Kim's clothes.
"Sick! You're sick," Will screamed.
A note in the dummy's hand read: "Time's running out for Kim. No point hanging around!"
Will carried on trying to find his wife, as the camera zoomed in on the dummy's hand — it was posed as if it were firing a gun. The blackmailer then started playing the Fleetwood Mac song 'Little Lies'.
Will was ordered to dig up a makeshift grave, where Kim's muffled voice could be heard begging for help. He eventually uncovered a coffin (with his name on it) concealing a walkie-talkie inside. The camera revealed Kim walking up behind Will as he dug.
Kim whacked Will with a shovel, causing him to fall into the coffin. Kim revealed she knew all about his one-night-stand with Rose, telling him: "All of this was me."
She challenged Will to "summon a shred of dignity" to admit what he'd done. With little choice but to confess the truth, Will finally conceded that he'd slept with Rose.
"[Rose] messed with Dawn, she messed with us but she's gone now," Will pleaded. "We're left in peace."
Kim corrected him: "We're left in pieces."
After Will confirmed he'd left his phone behind, Kim took the bag of cash and abandoned an injured Will in the woods.
"Where does this leave us?" Will asked, with Kim quipping: "It's so cute you think there's an 'us'."
Will was last seen injured and with no form of communication as the episode ended…
Viewers React To The Blackmail Twist
One fan said: "This is the most satisfying thing I've seen on Emmerdale in years! Kim Tate is back in the building!" Another fan wrote: "I knew it was Kim all along! She is the queen of revenge."
However, other fans have expressed concern for Will, with one fan writing: "I feel sorry for Will. He's in way over his head."
It remains to be seen what will happen next, but one thing is for sure: Kim Tate is not someone you want to cross.
Kim’s Ultimate Revenge
The tension escalated in Friday's episode between Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and his wife Kim when it was disclosed that she was the mastermind behind the blackmail at Home Farm.
Kim had previously forced Will to dig what appeared to be his own grave upon discovering his affair with ex-wife Rose (Christina Tremarco). Despite Will's pleas for forgiveness, a betrayal of Kim usually means there's no turning back.
Later at Home Farm, Kim found herself at a disadvantage when Will refused to sign over the documents that would return her businesses to her. This raises the question: could Kim lose everything?
"I have given you everything," an enraged Kim told Will. "I have done things for you that would keep most people awake at night," reports Leeds Live.
"And in return you have lied, cheated, you have stolen. You can sit there as long as you like listing every mistake that I have ever done, but I have never once betrayed you."
She continued: "Nothing matters anymore, we are done and we both know it."
As she slid the papers across for Will to sign, he stood up, said "No," and walked away. The scene closed with Kim removing her wedding rings, signaling the end of their marriage.
Social media has been abuzz with fan theories and predictions, with many believing that Kim will ultimately eliminate Will, leading to his dramatic departure from the show.
"You cheated Will. Now pay the consequences," one fan wrote on social media, while another commented: "You deserve everything you're gonna get Will!!! Queen Kim is back in the building."
A third chimed in with: "Kim should kill Will at this point."
"C'mon Kim. Put him back in the ground and this time bulldoze a ton of earth on him," was another suggestion from an invested viewer.
"Kim get rid of him now," urged a fifth fan, as another drew parallels to past drama: "This storyline tonight is giving me Chris Tate vibes!"
The speculation about Will's fate continued with one person stating: "Will's exit looms," while another pleaded: "Just kill him, Kim. #Emmerdale."
In other parts of the episode, Ruby Milligan (Beth Cordingly) grappled with her mother's passing. Unbeknownst to Ruby, her husband Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) had extorted £100k from her mother the day before, pressuring her to visit her in hospital.
Tragically, by the time Ruby reached the hospital, it was too late; her estranged mother had died.
Meanwhile, Ruby's ongoing efforts to raise their daughter Stephanie sparked curiosity among fans, leading them to wonder about the child's identity and whether she will make an appearance in the village soon.
Fans React To The Latest Emmerdale Spoilers
A number of Emmerdale fans are asking "why" after bosses at the ITV soap issued an update following Thursday's episode. The latest instalments of the long-running show have seen a desperate Will Taylor panic when the blackmailer upped the stakes to £50,000 after Will missed the drop last week.
Riddled with regret, Will asked Caleb Milligan for a loan in return for his shares in the haulage business and, after getting his hands on Caleb's cash, Will made some big promises to wife Kim Tate. But his good mood wasn't to last, as the blackmailer began to message him, demanding the money.
Will let the blackmailer know he had the money, before finding Jimmy King and confessing to the deal with Caleb. Things then went from bad to worse as Will returns to Home Farm for lunch only to find Kim is missing.
A call from the blackmailer let him know they have abducted Kim, with a set of clear instructions for Will to follow. Viewers watched as Will then arrived in a wooded area, desperate to save his wife.
But when he got there he only found a mannequin dressed like Kim, and wandered further into the woods to find her. As Will stumbled upon an open grave, Kim appeared behind him, hitting him over the head with a shovel and knocking him into the hole in the ground, with Will quickly realising it was his wife who had been blackmailing him all along.
After the credits rolled on ITV, soap bosses shared an update on the official Emmerdale Instagram page, revealing how the scene had been filmed. The post was simply captioned: "Kim + Shovel = Some fun behind the scenes".
Fans have been quick to react in the comments section, with many disappointed in what had played out on our screens. Shelley said: "Why couldn’t they have let them be happy without the terrible storyline. Would love to see a proper happy family at Home Farm and in fact in the whole village, too many doom and gloom storylines".
Carla said: "As much as I love Queen Tate it would've been nice for just one couple to be happy and last for once". Helen said: "Shame though, I really liked them as a couple".
However, other viewers were loving the scenes as Adam said: "This was hilarious". Lisa said: "I knew it. Love Kim" and Karen said: "You didn't let us down, Kim!" Aarib said: "I knew it was Kim. YES! Back to her old ways".
