Eva Mendes, the renowned actress and wife of Ryan Gosling, has confessed that her daughters, Esmerelda (10) and Amada (8), couldn't care less about her acting career. Even attempting to show them scenes from her films has become a struggle.

During an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Mendes shared her experience, stating, "They don't care. I tried to show them a scene from 'Hitch' that I was proud of because I'm scared of deep, dark water and I had to do this physical comedy stunt in the Hudson." She continued, "I showed them the scene, and they were like, 'This is boring.'"

Despite their lack of interest in her acting career, Mendes' daughters were captivated by their father's appearance in Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" film last year.

Explaining their enthusiasm for the film, Mendes said, "It was beautiful because the girls were a big part of him saying yes to it. They helped him a lot to say yes because there are 30 Barbies in the house and one Ken."

The Influence of 'Barbie' on Gosling's Decision

Ryan Gosling's involvement in "Barbie" was partly influenced by his daughters' immense love for the popular doll. The presence of numerous Barbie dolls in their home, compared to the single Ken doll, reportedly played a significant role in Gosling's decision to take on the role.

The Power of Parental Influence

This anecdote highlights the profound influence children can have on their parents' decisions. In this instance, Gosling's daughters' passion for Barbie proved to be a strong motivator, leading him to embrace a role he might otherwise have hesitated to accept.

Mendes' Career Uncertainties

While Mendes has been a prominent figure in Hollywood, she remains unsure about her future in acting.

She has previously stated that she prioritizes motherhood, saying, "I'm happy being a mom. It's the most fulfilling thing in the world."

Balancing Motherhood and Career

Mendes' decision to focus on motherhood reflects a common struggle faced by many working mothers, navigating the delicate balance between their professional aspirations and their commitment to family.

Despite her current career pause, Mendes' legacy as an actress remains strong, with numerous successful films to her credit, including "Hitch," "2 Fast 2 Furious," and "The Place Beyond the Pines."

Mendes' Passion for Motherhood

Although Mendes' daughters may not be enthralled by her films, it's evident that she cherishes her role as a mother. Her unwavering devotion to her children underscores the importance of family and personal fulfillment over professional ambitions.

The Hollywood Spotlight on Family Dynamics

The story of Mendes and Gosling's family dynamic offers a glimpse into the world of Hollywood stars.

Despite their fame, Mendes and Gosling prioritize family life, showcasing that even in the midst of the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry, the core values of love, family, and personal fulfillment remain paramount.

The Unseen Side of Celebrity

This anecdote reminds us that celebrities are also human beings, navigating the complexities of personal relationships, career choices, and the ever-present challenges of balancing work and family life.

Unseen Side of the 'Barbie' Phenomenon

Gosling's involvement in "Barbie" was a major coup for the film.

The actor's involvement drew considerable attention to the project and contributed to its immense success.

The Impact of 'Barbie' on Gosling's Career

Gosling's participation in "Barbie" marked a significant departure from his typical roles, showcasing his versatility and range as an actor. It also demonstrated his willingness to embrace projects that resonated with his children's interests.

Final Thoughts: Beyond the Screen

While Mendes' daughters may not be fans of her acting career, she clearly prioritizes their happiness and wellbeing. Their influence on their father's career trajectory exemplifies the power of family connections even in the often-intense world of Hollywood. The "Barbie" phenomenon underscores the appeal of childhood nostalgia and the enduring power of the brand, highlighting how pop culture can influence both personal and professional choices.
