In a game that was closer than many expected, the Philadelphia Eagles were on the verge of securing a valuable victory. But it was Atlanta who ultimately triumphed, snatching the win on a touchdown by Drake London in the final minute of the match. However, there’s still work to be done for Atlanta, with a borrowed Kirk Cousins and a persistent lack of efficiency in the red zone. This late-game surge could act as a catalyst for this team, who have proven their ability to perform at their best when it matters most. Bijan Robinson has been a force for this team, carrying them on his shoulders. The ground game is established, giving them a strong foundation for building upon.
Jalen Hurts performed significantly better than in the first game, avoiding errors and making decisive plays on the ground. His interception in the last minute seemed more like a desperate attempt. Saquon Barkley was impressive, but his drop at the end of the match cost them the victory. The defense didn’t meet expectations, and needs to quickly regroup considering the upcoming challenges.
Atlanta is back in the running in the NFC South, and can confidently move on to Week 3.

The Falcons were no more inspired in attack, relying entirely on Bijan Robinson to move the ball forward. Atlanta had two promising opportunities, but settled for two field goals (7-6). After a lackluster first quarter, the Eagles headed into the locker room with a narrow lead.
The second quarter began like the first: rushing for the Falcons, Devonta Smith for the Eagles. After an exchange of field goals, Atlanta finally came alive. Kirk Cousins finally broke out of his slump, connecting with Darnell Mooney for the touchdown (10-15). For the first time in the match, the Eagles were on the back foot.
This is when Jalen Hurts answered the call, with a controlled drive. Jalen Hurts again utilized his legs, aided by Saquon Barkley and Britain Covey. The drive concluded with a “QB sneak,” a signature play for Philadelphia (18-15).
Atlanta had the chance to get back into the game, but Bijan Robinson was stopped on a fourth down attempt by C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who bailed out the Eagles and restored their control of the game. The Eagles managed the clock effectively, but a Saquon Barkley drop gave the Falcons another opportunity (21-15).
This is when Kirk Cousins pulled off a magnificent drive, slicing through the Eagles’ defense in just over a minute. Drake London was on the receiving end, restoring the lead for the Falcons (21-22). Checkmate, and victory for the Falcons.
