Topi Keskinen is set to follow in the footsteps of his former hero Wayne Rooney on Tuesday night by gracing the hallowed turf at Wembley Stadium.
The 21-year-old - who joined Aberdeen from HJK Helsinki last month - made his senior international debut for Finland on Saturday in a 3-0 loss away to Greece.
He is now preparing to make his first ever appearance at Wembley when Finland take on Group B2 leaders England in the UEFA Nations League.
Ahead of Tuesday's game, one of Keskinen's tattoos has gained a lot of attention.
Reacting to the interest in the tattoo, Keskinen admitted: 'To be honest, it is not such a wonderful tattoo because I designed it myself.
'It has become a bigger deal than I thought it would, especially since I moved to Scotland.'
'I was a United fan as a kid and also a fan of Rooney. I also love fishing.'
Rooney scored 253 goals in 559 games for United between 2004 and 2017.
He also netted 53 times in 120 appearances for England, making him his country's leading scorer before Harry Kane broke that record in March last year.
Kane has since moved onto 66 goals for the Three Lions and is expected to earn his 100th cap on Tuesday.
Keskinen has featured in three games for Aberdeen since moving to Scotland on August 12.
He scored on his debut in a 1-0 victory over Queen's Park in the Scottish League Cup, before making further appearances in Premiership wins over Kilmarnock and Ross County.
Rooney's Legacy Lives On
The striker's unique tattoo shows the deep respect he holds for Rooney, a player who many consider to be a Manchester United legend. Rooney's impact on the club was immense, scoring goals aplenty and leading the team to several trophies, including the Champions League in 2008. His influence on Keskinen, as a young fan, is evident in his decision to get the tattoo. This highlights the lasting impact a player can have on fans and aspiring footballers.
Rooney's Lasting Influence on Keskinen
Keskinen's tattoo is a testament to the enduring legacy of Wayne Rooney as a football icon. It's a reminder of Rooney's remarkable impact on the sport, influencing young players like Keskinen who aspire to emulate his achievements. For Keskinen, the tattoo serves as a constant source of inspiration, a symbol of his admiration for Rooney's talent and dedication to the game.
Finland Looking to Pull Off an Upset
While Keskinen may have a fond admiration for the England legend, he will be looking to put his hero worship aside as he aims to help Finland achieve a stunning upset against England at Wembley. The Finnish team will be hoping to capitalize on England's recent struggles to find consistency and secure a vital victory in the Nations League. The match promises to be a captivating clash with both teams eager to emerge victorious.
England's Quest for Victory
England will be looking to build on their impressive start to the Nations League campaign, having secured a 2-0 win against the Republic of Ireland in their opening match. However, they will be facing a determined Finnish side eager to prove their worth. The match will be a stern test for England, requiring them to play with precision and discipline to overcome their opponents and maintain their momentum in the tournament.
