Germany will look to build upon their impressive Euro 2024 campaign as they host Hungary in their first group stage match of the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League. Julian Nagelsmann's side were impressive at this year's Euros. They lost out to eventual champions Spain in the quarterfinals in what was probably the best match of the tournament.
Hungary were impressive en route the Euros and were considered one of the dark horses, however, they failed to make it past the group stage. A win against Germany would give them the perfect boost.

Germany vs. Hungary: Recent history
On paper Germany may be the favorite, however, the recent fixtures between two sides don't hint at a clear front-runner. In the last seven meetings between the two, the Germans have won thrice, while Hungary have won twice, with two draws.
Nonetheless, in their current form, the young German squad shouldn't have much of a problem dispatching the visiting Hungary side.
