Hardy Bucks fans the world over, as well as members of his local community, are mourning the loss before his time of Ali Carter.

Part of the charm was the array of interesting characters - including Scorpio Lyons, played brilliantly by Ali Carter.
Alan 'Ali' Carter's body was discovered at a house in Westport on Monday 26 August 2024. A Garda spokesperson told Galway Beo: "Gardaí were alerted to the discovery of a body of man in a house in Westport, Co. Mayo yesterdat, Monday, 26th August 2024 at approximately 6am.
"The body was removed to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar where a post-mortem will take place, which will determine the course of the investigation."
Galway Beo understand that foul play is not suspected at this time.

Ali hailed from Swinford and was fiercely proud of his town and county. He represented his soccer club, Swinford FC, for many years. They paid tribute to Ali, acknowledging his family's deep connection with the club as they offered their condolences.
Alan's remain will repose at his home in Rathcluain, Kiltimagh, Co Mayo on Thursday 29 August from 3pm until 7pm. Alan's funeral mass will be hosted on Friday 3 August at 12 midday with burial afterwards in Kilconduff Cemetery in Swinford, Co Mayo.
