After months of speculation, the line-up for the upcoming 2024 season of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! has reportedly been ‘confirmed’. In just two weeks the long-running ITV series will return to screens, with rumours swirling about which celebrities have signed up. It was recently reported that Coleen Rooney had signed the ‘biggest deal’ in the show’s history after agreeing to head down under and enter the jungle as a campmate. Now the full line up appears to have been leaked.
‘As always, the jungle bosses have cleverly put together a sensational line-up guaranteed to make for compulsive viewing,’ a source told The Sun. Here’s everything we know about the stars set to be part of the new season of the show.
Coleen Rooney Headlines the I'm a Celebrity 2024 Lineup
Coleen, 38, is rumoured to be getting the most lucrative deal in the history of the show, which started in 2002. It comes after her infamous Wagatha Christie drama with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, with producers apparently keen to have her speak about the explosive court case. ‘I’m A Celeb bosses have pulled off a huge coup getting Coleen for the jungle this year and the team are thrilled to have her on board,’ a source previously said. ‘She’s always been a massive fan of the show and loves watching it with her boys. ITV are over the moon that the stars have aligned this year and she can fit it in. The series is set to be one of the best yet,’ they added when speaking to The Sun.
Maura Higgins Brings Love Island Heat to the Jungle
After Tommy Fury reportedly pulled out of appearing on the series, ITV bosses are said to have signed up another massive former Love Island name. Irish reality star Maura Higgins rose to fame in 2019 when she made the final of the dating show’s fifth series, with viewers loving her no-nonsense attitude. She’s since appeared on Dancing on Ice, with the 33-year-old’s rumoured boyfriend Pete Wicks also currently competing on Strictly Come Dancing. An insider said: ‘With Tommy Fury pulling out, it gave show bosses the opportunity to look at other Love Island stars, and Maura stood out as the perfect candidate. She’ll bring a bit of glamour to the jungle and make a brilliant campmate because she’s got a great sense of humour and is bound to get on with everyone.’ Bosses are also said to be counting on her spilling the tea about her close friendship with Molly-Mae Hague, who shockingly split from Tommy earlier this year.
Tulisa Contostavlos Makes a Comeback
N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos is set to make her return to screens on the ITV reality series. The former X Factor judge, 36, has ‘been on ITV’s hit list for a while but until now she’s never wanted to consider it,’ a source previously said. However, with 2024 marking a decade since she left her judging role on X Factor, it’s now apparently the right time to stage a comeback.
Danny Jones Joins the Jungle After The Voice UK Win
It’s been less than a week since McFly star Danny Jones, 38, won The Voice UK alongside his bandmate Tom Fletcher with their act Ava. If the rumours of his upcoming I’m A Celebrity stint are true, he’ll be following in the footsteps of another of his bandmates, Dougie Poynter, who was crowned King of the Jungle back in 2011. Meanwhile Tom’s wife Giovanna Fletcher also won the 2020 season. A source said of Danny: ‘As well as bringing some of the star appeal of the group with him, he’ll be supplying some serious guy candy for the campmates and viewers at home. All the McFly guys are gym fanatics and Danny in particular has a great physique – which he’s bound to show off in the jungle. He’ll be keeping up with the proud tradition of I’m A Celebrity… hunks who’ve been on the show over the years including Owen Warner and Joel Dommett.’
Oti Mabuse Expects Another Jungle Adventure
Former Strictly star Oti Mabuse, appeared as a professional dancer on the show from 2015 until 2021. During her time on the BBC series, she was partnered with Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo, Hollyoaks actor Danny Mac, Paralympic sprinter Jonnie Peacock, England cricketer Graeme Swann for the Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey, winning the series with the last two. She then went on to become a judge on the ITV series Dancing on Ice. Last month Jordan North said he could ‘guarantee’ she would be one of the I’m A Celebrity campmates, comments which came after a source told The Sun ‘she is hugely popular and well-liked by the ITV audience so bosses are over the moon she could be a campmate’.
Reverend Richard Coles Returns to Reality TV
He may not have lasted more than a few weeks during his stint on Strictly in 2017, however Reverend Richard Coles may have better luck undertaking bushtucker trials when challenged. The 62-year-old was reported to be part of the line up last month, with a source saying he could make for ‘compulsive viewing’. ‘Rev Coles will have a variety of tales to tell from his wild days as a pop star in the Eighties, through to performing on Strictly and his later life as a man of the cloth,’ they added.
Jane Moore Embarks on a New Adventure
Jane Moore may be swapping the bright lights of the Loose Women studio for the scorching heat of the Australian outback very soon. The 62-year-old has reportedly ‘signed the dotted line’ to appear on the series. After splitting from her husband two years ago, Jane has experienced a ‘transformative few years’ and is reportedly excited to undertake this challenge.
Melvin Odoom Conquers His Fears
Despite previously admitting he might be ‘too scared’ to ‘hack the jungle’, Melvin Odoom is set to overcome his fears. The 44-year-old radio DJ and television presenter has previously appeared on another massive reality series. In 2016 he signed up for Strictly, where he was paired with Janette Manrara. Although they were the first to leave, they went on to win the Christmas special.
Dean McCullough Joins the Jungle
Radio 1 star Dean McCullough is also preparing to head Down Under. A source has said of the 32-year-old from Northern Ireland: ‘Dean isn’t known for being a shrinking violet and is sure to be outspoken — plus he’s one of the youngest men lined up for the show so far.’
GK Barry Brings Social Media Fame to the Jungle
After delighting audiences with her debut on Loose Women earlier this year, social media star GK Barry is also apparently packing her bags in anticipation of her next big TV job. The 25-year-old made her name on TikTok and now boasts over 3.6 million followers. She also has a podcast, Saving Grace, in which she’s previously interviewed Alison Hammond, Madison Beer and Rob Beckett.
Barry McGuigan Makes a Sporting Statement
After Tony Bellew signed up last season, former Irish professional boxer Finbar Patrick ‘Barry’ McGuigan is also set to represent the sport in a whole new way. Nicknamed The Clones Cyclone, Barry held the WBA and lineal featherweight titles from 1985 to 1986 and in 1985, became BBC Sports Personality of the Year. In 2005 he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
Alan Halsall Returns to the Jungle
Alan Halsall will be the latest Coronation Street star to head into the jungle this time around. The, 42, has played the role of Tyrone Dobbs on the ITV soap since 1998. A source said: ‘Tyrone is one of Corrie’s most-loved characters so Alan comes with a ready-made fan base. Sometimes soap actors who are known for their iconic roles don’t quite translate once in camp – Adam Woodyatt being one recent example. But Alan is a top lad with bags of personality, so ITV are over the moon he’s signed up again.’
ITV Denies Rumors, but the Jungle Awaits
In a statement to Metro, an ITV spokesperson said: ‘Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! are just speculation.’ I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! returns on November 17 to ITV and ITV1.
