Before Sunday's game, Daniels arrived in the LSU locker room to greet his former teammates. Here's Daniels greeting his ex-backup and the Tigers' new starting quarterback, Garrett Nussmeier, before the game.

The game came down to the wire, but unfortunately for Daniels, the Trojans held on for a 27-20 win. USC scored a touchdown with eight seconds remaining to stun LSU.

Now, Daniels returns to the DMV as he prepares for his first official NFL start next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Daniels' Time at LSU

Daniels was a star at LSU for two seasons. He was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2023 and won the award in 2024, leading the nation in total offense with 4,946 yards. Daniels also helped LSU to a 12-2 record and a berth in the College Football Playoff in 2024. He will always be a legend at LSU, and he joined Tigers fans in-person for the season opener against USC.

The Future of LSU's Offense

Daniels won the Heisman Trophy last season after leading the nation in total offense with 4,946 yards, and LSU's offense will look to follow in his footsteps in 2024. Nussmeier, who was Daniels' backup last season, is now the starting quarterback. He will be looking to build on the success of the 2024 season and lead LSU to another playoff berth.

What's Next for Daniels?

Daniels is now a member of the Washington Commanders, and he will be looking to make an immediate impact. He has a lot of talent and potential, and he will be looking to prove himself in the NFL. Daniels will have to compete with Sam Howell for the starting job, but if he can earn the starting role, he has the potential to be a star in the NFL.

The Torch has Truly Been Passed

Jayden Daniels was a major part of LSU's success over the last two years. His leadership and talent were instrumental in the Tigers' run to the College Football Playoff in 2024. With Daniels now moving on to the NFL, the LSU football team will be looking to the next generation of talent to carry on the tradition of success. The 2024 season will be an exciting time for LSU football, and the team will be looking to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Daniels' presence at the game showed his continued support of LSU and his teammates. He may be moving on to the NFL, but he'll always be a Tiger.
