Linda Nolan, the 65-year-old singer known for her time in the iconic pop group The Nolans, has opened up about her terminal cancer diagnosis, revealing her determination to fight and her message of hope and positivity.

The star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and received the all-clear a year later. However, in 2017, the disease had spread to her brain, bones and liver, and Linda has been battling ever since. Despite the challenges, she remains resolute, emphasizing that she has always been "determined to fight" and strives to "focus on the positives." This positive outlook is bolstered by the unwavering support of her family, friends and fans.

In an interview with Platinum magazine, Linda shared her thoughts on her journey: "When I was first diagnosed, it was a shock, but I was determined to fight. The return of the cancer was a harder blow, knowing it was incurable. But I've always believed in living life to the fullest and that's what I continue to do. Every day is a gift."

She continued, "It's not always easy, but I've always tried to focus on the positives. If you lose hope, you lose everything. My family, friends and fans have been a tremendous support. Knowing that my story can help others gives me strength and I feel it's a way of giving back, for all the support I've received."

Linda's message extends beyond her personal experience, urging others to prioritize their health and not shy away from seeking medical attention when needed. She advocates for open communication and encourages people to address their concerns rather than suppressing their emotions.

"I also believe in not being afraid to say when things aren't great. People feel guilt and pressure to always 'be brave' or 'be positive'. It's well meant, but sometimes we just need to feel how we feel? My consultant has always said we're in a marathon, not a sprint.'" she said.

Linda's candid approach serves as a reminder to prioritize health and seek support when facing challenges. She urges people to take action and not overlook potential symptoms: "'Don't ignore any signs or symptoms and make sure to get regular check-ups. When I first found lumps, I was scared and kept putting off seeing a doctor. Also, remember you're not alone. There's a community out there ready to support you. The Macmillan nurses are incredible, and they are with you every step of the way. Stay hopeful and cherish every moment. Please don't be frightened!'"

Linda Nolan's story is a testament to the power of resilience and the importance of finding hope amidst adversity. Her message of positivity and her commitment to living life to the fullest inspire others facing similar challenges to find strength and support within themselves and their communities.
