Lynk & Co Z10: The New Electric Sedan with 800V Technology
Lynk & Co, a brand jointly owned by Geely Auto and Volvo Cars, has officially launched its first fully electric sedan, the Z10, in China. This marks a significant step forward in the brand's electrification journey.
The Z10 is available in five variants, three of which utilize a 400V architecture, while the other two feature a more advanced 800V architecture. The 400V variants offer a range of 602 km and 766 km, while the 800V variants boast a range of up to 702 km and 806 km on a single charge, based on the Chinese test cycle.
The Performance of the Z10
The base model of the Z10 is powered by a 200kW rear-mounted motor and a 71kWh LFP battery. Other versions come equipped with a 95kWh battery pack. It delivers a peak torque of 343 Nm and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.
The top-of-the-line variant, the "Smart Ultra 800V 702km AWD", is the only one that offers all-wheel drive. It features a 310kW rear motor and a 270kW front motor, allowing it to achieve a remarkable 0-100km/h acceleration in just 3.5 seconds. This particular variant has a starting price of 288,800 yuan (approximately €36,671). The other 800V models only come with the 310kW rear motor and can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds.
The Z10's Design and Features
The Z10 boasts a sporty design with split headlights, a sloping roofline reminiscent of a coupe, 21-inch wheels, a full-width taillight, and a retractable spoiler. One of the most prominent exterior features is the RGB lighting at the front and rear. This design element is intended to appeal to gamers and younger customers.
The electric sedan measures 5.3 meters in length, 1.97 meters in width, and 1.47 meters in height, with a wheelbase of three meters. However, the most notable aspect of the Z10 is its ability to function as a computer on wheels, boasting exceptional computing power. It features a 15.4-inch floating multimedia display and includes a "Co Pad" functionality, allowing rear-seat passengers to connect and control vehicle functions and entertainment from a "Co Pad" tablet.

The vehicle also comes equipped with 30 high-performance sensors, enabling not only driver assistance functions but also autonomous driving capabilities. Highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) is available at launch, while urban NOA will be added through an over-the-air update in the future.
