The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to set a franchise record for consecutive wins. With a win Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Chiefs' winning streak, dating back to 2023, would extend to 14 games. The Chiefs will be without wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, cornerback Nazeeh Johnson, and defensive end Mike Danna, among others. Two of the Chiefs' newest players will be making their Arrowhead Stadium debuts. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is set for his home debut, coming off a two-catch performance in Las Vegas. Linebacker Joshua Uche will play in his first game tonight. Stay tuned for live updates throughout the night.

9:30, First Quarter: A promising Chiefs drive ends with a sack. The drive began on their own 30-yard line after a touchback, with Patrick Mahomes connecting with Travis Kelce on a couple of short passes and running back Kareem Hunt adding a few yards on the ground. However, the drive stalled after Mahomes was sacked.

4:00 First Quarter: Another Chiefs wide receiver suffered an injury. Mecole Hardman, who also returns kicks and punts for the team, was injured on a punt return early in the game. The team says he is questionable to return with a shoulder injury. ESPN cameras showed Hardman heading back to the locker room. The Chiefs say he is questionable to return.

2:16, First Quarter: Kansas City put together an eight-play, 33-yard drive capped by Harrison Butker’s 40-yard field goal, giving the Chiefs an early 3-0 lead over Tampa Bay. The drive started at the Kansas City 35-yard line and featured short gains by Patrick Mahomes, including a 17-yard pass to Daurice Hopkins and a key scramble to set up the field goal attempt. Butker converted after the Chiefs were stalled at the Buccaneers' 22-yard line, putting the first points on the board with 2:16 remaining in the first quarter.

10:23, Second Quarter: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers capped a methodical 11-play, 70-yard drive spanning 6 minutes and 53 seconds with a 7-yard touchdown run by Rachaad White, taking a 7-3 lead The Kansas City native is playing his first career game at Arrowhead Stadium. Tampa Bay picked up two critical third down possessions on the way.

4:05, Second Quarter: It's been a busy first half for the DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins made his two biggest plays as a Chief, keeping the drive alive on third down and scoring his first touchdown.

0:55, Second Quarter: A Travis Kelce fumbles ends what was a promising drive for the Chiefs. Tampa Bay gets the ball near midfield with the chance to tie or take the lead.

HALFTIME: Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had a standout first half, scoring his first touchdown as a Kansas City Chief. Kansas City leads Tampa Bay 10-7 at halftime.

11:36, Third Quarter: The Buccaneers orchestrated a strong drive to open the second half, capped off by Baker Mayfield’s 11-yard touchdown pass to Cade Otton. The drive began after Tampa Bay’s impressive return to midfield. Tampa Bay leads 14-10.

10:31, Third Quarter: It’s been a shaky night for the Chiefs’ offensive line. Kansas City has allowed four sacks, with the most recent one forcing the Chiefs to punt on their opening drive of the second half.

5:50, Third Quarter: Tampa Bay has its largest lead of the game following a field goal.

13:45, Fourth Quarter: The Chiefs tied the game at 17-17 with a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. This scoring drive was an impressive 12-play, 70-yard march that took 6 minutes and 36 seconds off the clock. Mahomes connected with Samaje Perine on a short 7-yard pass for the touchdown, but Mahomes was injured on the play. He is expected to return to the game.

12:45, Fourth Quarter: After a brief injury scare, Mahomes is back in the game.

4:17, Fourth Quarter: Hopkins' second touchdown of the game gives Kansas City a 24-17 lead late. The score capped off a 15-play, 78-yard drive that lasted 8:26 in the fourth quarter. Rushing yardage from Kareem Hunt and Caden Steele powered the drive on the ground. Mahomes ultimately connected with Hopkins for a 5-yard touchdown pass on 3rd-and-goal at the Tampa Bay 5-yard line.

Can the Chiefs tie it up?

The Buccaneers were driving before a questionable 15-yard facemask penalty effectively ended their latest drive. A 2nd-and-2 turned from the 20 into 1st-and-25 from the 43 and the Bucs couldn’t overcome it.

Tampa Bay still comes away with three to take a 17-10 lead, but it’s almost always a problem to leave points on the board against the Chiefs.

Patrick Mahomes was sacked for a 12-yard loss on third down — the Bucs’ fourth sack of the night — and the Chiefs go three-and-out on their first drive of the second half.

Tampa Bay takes over on its own 41 with a 14-10 lead.

The Buccaneers will receive the opening kickoff to start the third.

The Buccaneers can’t take advantage of a Travis Kelce fumble, and the Chiefs have the ball back with under 30 seconds to go.

Deandre Hopkins caught a pass in the back of the end zone from one-yard out to give Kansas City a 10-7 lead.

Hopkins also caught a 35-yard heave from Mahomes on 3rd-and-8 earlier in the drive to set the team up inside the 10.

It’s a 7-3 Bucs lead after a seven-yard touchdown run by Rachaad White.

Nice drive by Tampa Bay, which took nearly seven minutes off the clock with an 11-play, 70-yard drive that included multiple third-down conversions.

The Chiefs are up 3-0 after one quarter.

Patrick Mahomes is 8 of 9 for 58 yards, while Baker Mayfield is 2 of 4 for 20.

Tampa Bay will have a 2nd-and-7 inside their own territory to start the second.

Kansas City nearly had a first down inside the 10-yard line a couple plays earlier, but rookie receiver Xavier Worthy couldn’t keep his feet in bounds on a deep pass.
