Seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher's daughter, Gina, married Iain Bethke over the weekend at the family's estate in Mallorca. The privacy and security measures were extraordinary in the exclusive ceremony held on the serene island of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands. The ceremony, held on Saturday, was a tightly guarded affair, ensuring that the couple’s special day remained intimate and away from the prying eyes of the media and public. In keeping with the Schumacher family’s well-known preference for privacy, large-scale security was employed, and guests were reportedly asked to surrender their phones to prevent unauthorized photos.

Close family members were present, including Gina's mother, Corinna Schumacher, her younger brother, Mick Schumacher—the Mercedes reserve driver—and her uncle, Ralf Schumacher. The guest list, though limited, also included Ralf’s new partner, Etienne Bousquet-Cassagne. Given the highly private nature of the ceremony, only select images taken by the event’s official photographer were released to the public, allowing the bride and groom to share only what they wished from their special day.

It is currently not known if Michael was able to attend his daughter's wedding, although a report from BILD states it is “very likely” that the F1 icon was present.

Ralf Schumacher shared to social media in a shared post with his partner Bousquet-Cassagne: “We had a wonderful time in Mallorca, the sunsets and the atmosphere were magical.”

The former F1 driver's health has been a subject of much concern since his severe brain injury from a skiing accident in 2013. The Schumacher family has maintained a highly protective stance regarding Michael’s condition, calling for privacy and understanding from the public and media.

Michael's former manager Willi Weber has spoken to the media about the recent nuptials, stating: “I wasn’t invited, but I wouldn’t have attended the wedding even if I had been invited. My health isn’t good at the moment. I wouldn’t have wanted to fly to Mallorca. I wish her the best of luck. And I hope she has found the right man, that’s always important. It’s a game after all. But I hope everything goes well and that she is happy.”

Former Ferrari boss Jean Todt has also previously spoken to the media about Michael, stating: “Michael is here, so I don’t miss him. [But he] is simply not the Michael he used to be. He is different and is wonderfully guided by his wife and children who protect him. His life is different now and I have the privilege of sharing moments with him. That’s all there is to say. Unfortunately, fate struck him ten years ago. He is no longer the Michael we knew in Formula 1. [He is in the] best of hands… surrounded by people who love him.”

Michael Schumacher's Daughter Marries in Private Ceremony

As reported by Hello! magazine, the F1 legend’s 27-year-old daughter tied the knot in an ultra-private ceremony at the Schumacher family home – Villa Yasmin – in Puerto De Andratx, Mallorca, on Saturday. According to the outlet, their nuptials took place in a picturesque setting that combined beach and mountain sceneries. Gina stunned in a white lace bridal gown with spaghetti straps and diamond earrings, while her hair was presented in a low ponytail.

“Forever yes to you, yes to forever,” Gina wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of herself and her new husband, Iain Bethke, who opted for a dark pinstripe suit and white shirt.

It’s unclear whether Gina’s 55-year-old father Michael – who was involved in a skiing accident in 2013 and has not been seen in public since – attended the wedding, but German media surmised he was there due to the ceremony’s top secret nature and a reported mobile phone ban.

Other family members including Michael’s brother Ralf Schumacher and his boyfriend, Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne, were at the celebrations, writes Hello!

However, according to German outlet BILD, Guests had to surrender their phones ahead of the wedding. The outlet claims the family did not want anyone taking unauthorised photos of the property’s private rooms.

The former F1 racing legend hasn’t been seen in public since his 2013 accident, but his 27-year-old daughter wed at the Schumacher family home in Spain on Saturday.

It is believed that Michael Schumacher spends a lot of time at the villa, which is believed to have been adapted allowing a team of doctors and nurses to provide round-the-clock care.

The former F1 World Champion suffered a serious head injury after a skiing accident in December 2013 in the French Alps, and his condition has since been kept under wraps.

Schumacher is regularly flown over to the villa in Port d'Andratx from the family home by Lake Geneva in Switzerland - with the villa having a landing pad. The luxury pad is part of a 15,000 square metre estate which boasts two swimming pools, a gym and a huge palm-tree-fringed garden.

BILD claim that it is “highly-likely” Schumacher was at the ceremony. Guests are said to have included Michael's brother Ralf and his partner Etienne Bosquet-Cassagne - with the former F1 driver recently coming out as gay.

Was Michael Schumacher Present at His Daughter's Wedding?

As for whether the former Mercedes and Ferrari driver was present to witness Gina-Maria's marriage to Iain Bethke, Bild newspaper claims that is very possibly true.

Even very likely, the newspaper’s journalist added. However, he was not in the garden. It was full of wedding guests, not all of whom belong to the family’s trusted inner circle like Iain and Mick Schumacher’s model girlfriend Laila Hasanovic.

A few years ago, Schumacher’s wife Corinna bought the property on the Mediterranean island formerly belonging to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez - amid rumours doctors advised that the warmer weather would help the stricken seven time world champion.

The report said security was very tight at the wedding, with a dozen security guards present - and a strict rule in place requiring guests to hand in their mobile phones.

Michael Schumacher's Former Manager Did Not Attend the Wedding

Willi Weber, 82, who was Schumacher's manager until 2012, wasn’t on the guest list: “I wasn’t invited, but I wouldn’t have attended the wedding even if I had been invited. My health isn’t good at the moment. I wouldn’t have wanted to fly to Mallorca. I wish her the best of luck. And I hope she has found the right man, that’s always important. It’s a game after all. But I hope everything goes well and that she is happy.”

Michael Schumacher had a close friendship with long-time manager Willi Weber but his relationship with the F1 legend’s family changed in the aftermath of his life-changing skiing accident.

Weber, 82, worked with seven-time Formula 1 champion Schumacher until his final retirement in 2012 and helped the German racer to cash in on his success and become one of the highest paid sports stars on the planet. And he also worked with brother and fellow racer Ralf, who didn’t enjoy as much success but still won six races.

He hasn’t been allowed to visit his former client for many years, though, and he was not on the guest list of Gina-Maria’s wedding. And, speaking to German outlet Bild, he claims he would not have made the journey to the Spanish island anyway - even if he had been invited.

Weber said: “I wasn’t invited, but I wouldn’t have attended the wedding even if I had been invited. My health isn’t good at the moment. I wouldn’t have wanted to fly to Majorca. I wish her the best of luck and I hope she has found the right man, that’s always important.”

Michael Schumacher's Wife Has Set Up a Hospital in Their Mallorca Villa

Flavio Briatore’s ex-wife Elisabetta Gregoraci opened up on Schumacher’s condition on the Italian version of Big Brother, she said: “They moved to Spain and his wife has set up a hospital in that house.”

She explained: “Michael doesn’t speak, he communicates with his eyes. Only three people can visit him and I know who they are.”

Gina-Maria Schumacher's Wedding: A Private Affair

Gina Maria Schumacher, daughter of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, has married long-term partner Iain Bethke at a private ceremony in Mallorca.

Among those in attendance at the event were Gina’s mother Corinna, as well as younger brother and current Mercedes reserve driver Mick Schumacher.

Gina’s uncle, Ralf Schumacher, was also spotted alongside Etienne Bousquet-Cassagne, who was revealed as the former F1 star’s new partner earlier this year.

It’s unknown if seven-time world champion and father of the bride Michael Schumacher played any role in the day.

The former Ferrari icon retired from F1 in 2012 following a short spell at Mercedes, but suffered a severe brain injury during a tragic skiing accident the following year.

The German was placed in a medically induced coma as a result, and has remained under the care of his family at his Swiss home as he continues to receive treatment.

Details of his health condition have been kept a closely guarded secret over the years, with members of his family asking for their privacy to be respected.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, security was at a premium during Saturday’s ceremony in the Balearic Islands.

Guests were reportedly requested to hand over their phones upon arrival, in an effort to prevent photographs being shared online.

A small selection of images taken by the day’s official photographer, however, were made available to the public, showing the happy couple celebrating after finally tying the knot.
