New Outdoor Attractions in Norfolk This Summer: Maize Mazes, Mini Golf and More
The Pulham Patch is located in Pulham Market, just off the A140 opposite Goodies Food Hall.
It is part of a 185-acre arable farm, which is run by Annelise Easton, her dad Richard Ford, uncle Andrew Ford and grandmother Joan Ford.
The Pulham Patch: Maize Maze and Pick-Your-Own Wildflowers
Last October was the first year of its pumpkin patch, which was permitted under a temporary licence.
Broadland and South Norfolk Council then granted planning permission for a maze maize, pumpkin patch, playground and a cut flower garden in a 16-acre field at the farm.
The new maize maze takes inspiration from its location, with the neighbouring Tyrrel's Wood part of the Boudicca Way.
It is in the shape of the legendary warrior and it also features two horses and a chariot, with a knowledge activity trail to follow.
The pick-your-own wildflower field consists of 16 different varieties, including cosmos, poppies and cornflowers.
Katherine's Kitchen is there seven days a week offering an array of treats, with a barbecue also fired up at weekends, and there is a play area too.
Mrs Easton said: "We wanted to take advantage of our great location off the A140.
"Since opening on July 20, we have had 700 people through the gates with really great feedback.
"People have said it is great to have something like this in south Norfolk, particularly for children."
Maize maze tickets cost £6 for adults, £8 for children (aged 2-18) and under 2s go free, with a family ticket for £26.
Fill a jar of flowers for £5, £10 or £15 and you can pay by cash or card for both.
You can also pre-book for the maize maze at pulhampatch.co.uk, with the opening times from 10am to 4.30pm daily until September 3.
There is free parking and no dogs are allowed.
New Mini Golf Courses: Sandringham and The Pumpkin House
The Sandringham Estate has recently opened an 18-hole mini golf course in the parkland, suitable for all ages.
Bookable time slots are available for a maximum of four people, and the course is open daily until September 15, from 11am to 4pm.
Meanwhile, The Pumpkin House in Thursford has unveiled a new nine-hole mini adventure golf course with a farming theme.
The course, surrounded by fields, tractors, and hay bales, is open Wednesday to Sunday throughout the school summer holidays, from 10am to 4pm.
