Week 3 of the NFL season is officially here, and the stars are still turning heads with their arrivals. Some players arrive at the stadium comfortably wearing their team gear, but the majority of players pull out some of their most stylish fits that reflect their personalities off -- and sometimes on -- the field.
For "Thursday Night Football," New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner wore a black leather outfit as he greeted fans before his team's matchup against the New England Patriots.
NFL's Most Fashionable Arrivals of Week 3
The NFL is back, and that means gameday outfits are making a splash! I’m a huge fan of a good gameday fit and how it has become such a significant part of the league. It's a fun element to anticipate before the game. The social teams embrace it, fans appreciate it, and players seem to enjoy it too. Here are some of my favorite outfits from Week 2 around the league.
DeMarvion Overshown's Wild West Look
When it comes to gameday outfits, DeMarvion Overshown definitely delivered. He could have easily been the mascot for the day, showcasing a look straight out of the Wild West. My guy arrived looking like a true cowboy, complete with a hat and a stylish western trench coat. Not only was his outfit on point, but it was also incredibly cool—I won’t lie. Great job, my friend!
DeVonta Smith's Bold Statement
DeVonta Smith made a statement in Week 2 with his striking bright green and plaid suit. It's bold and attention-grabbing, but he carries it off with ease. The details are impressive—the matching tie and pocket square, along with the initials on the lapel. The shoes complete the look perfectly. Despite its vibrancy, the outfit remains classy and is undeniably a power move. A true class act all around.
Spencer Brown's Comfort and Country Vibes
Spencer Brown went in the opposite direction from DeVonta Smith with a super casual look, rocking Bills overalls from FOCO and Kane Footwear shoes. This fit is all about comfort and down-to-earth style, and I’m loving it. Pure comfort and country vibes. Do your thing, Spencer!
Joey Burrow's '90s Punk Rock Vibe
Of course, we have to check in with Joey B and see what he was rocking this week. Burrow really surprised us earlier this year with his new Slim Shady-inspired hair color. This week’s fit is giving off a full '90s punk rock vibe. It’s not something most guys could pull off, but Burrow is one of the GOATs of gameday fits and is looking swaggy as usual.
Mike Gesicki's Classic Suit
Finally, I had to wrap up with a clean, professional outfit for the week. With so much flair and pageantry these days, it’s refreshing to see someone in a classic suit. The Griddy king, Gesicki, nails it with this suit from State & Liberty, one of my favorite menswear brands.
Week 2: More Players Taking the Runway
NFL players are known for turning heads with their stylish pregame arrivals, showcasing a mix of high fashion and streetwear. From custom-tailored suits to exclusive designer collaborations, many players treat the stadium tunnel like a personal runway. These pregame entrances have are a highly anticipated part of game day, with fans and fashion enthusiasts alike eager to see what players (and occasionally coaches) have to offer.
Style and Substance
The Buffalo Bills hopped on a jet to sunny Florida to kick off the season's first "Thursday Night Football" showdown against the Miami Dolphins. Sunday's full slate of games means more players ready to transform pregame tunnels into fashion runways. The Los Angeles Chargers went for a laid-back vibe in jorts, while Tennessee Titans' star DeAndre Hopkins channeled "The Matrix" with a sleek, all-black leather look.
For the second straight week, Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah honored his roots, making waves with another standout fit. Some of the most notable arrivals from Week 2 included:
- Jalen Hurts: Hurts arrived on "Monday Night Football" in a light gray dress shirt and pants set, looking sharp and ready to lead the Eagles to victory.
- DeVonta Smith: Smith continued his streak of stylish pregame arrivals with a three-piece green suit, proving that he's not only a talented receiver but also a fashion icon.
- DeAndre Hopkins: The Titans wide receiver channeled "The Matrix" with a sleek, all-black leather look. The outfit was both stylish and edgy, and Hopkins definitely turned heads.
- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah: The Browns linebacker made a statement in his second week with another standout outfit that paid tribute to his heritage.
With the season in full swing, it's clear that the NFL is becoming a fashion runway as well as a football field. Players are pushing the boundaries of style and expressing themselves through their gameday fits, making it even more exciting to see what they'll come up with next week.
Gameday Fashion's Growing Popularity
The gameday fits phenomenon isn't just a trend, it's become a major part of the NFL's culture. Fans love seeing the players' personal styles, and social media is abuzz with discussions about the latest arrivals. The league itself has even embraced the trend, often showcasing the players' outfits on their official social media accounts. This popularity makes sense, as the gameday fits create another layer of engagement between fans and players, allowing both parties to connect on a personal level.
The Future of Gameday Style
As the season progresses, we can expect to see more and more creative and stylish gameday outfits. From collaborations with fashion designers to the rise of personalized streetwear, the future of gameday fashion is bright and full of potential. One thing's for sure: the NFL players will continue to set the trends and inspire fans with their unique style. And that, my friends, is something we can all look forward to.
