Overwatch 2 is known for its collaborations with various franchises. From the recent World of Warcraft crossover to the popular One Punch Man and LeSserafim collaborations, the game has consistently delivered exciting and unique skins that capture the essence of their partnered characters. But the latest collaboration, unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show, is arguably the most anticipated one yet.

Overwatch 2 is getting a My Hero Academia collaboration, bringing the beloved anime to the game with new skins for five heroes.

Overwatch 2's My Hero Academia Collaboration: A Perfect Match?

Reinhardt, Kiriko, Tracer, Reaper, and Juno are all getting My Hero Academia skins. These include All Might for Reinhardt, Himiko Toga for Kiriko, Deku for Tracer, Shigaraki for Reaper, and Uraraka for Juno.

Some collaborations can feel forced, but this crossover feels natural and well-executed. The heroes selected for the skins are a perfect fit for their My Hero Academia counterparts, reflecting their personalities and abilities.

The Juno and Uraraka Skin: A Fan Favorite

The most notable skin is Juno's Uraraka skin. This new hero, who was released at the beginning of the current season, doesn’t have many skins yet. But the fan base has been eagerly anticipating this collaboration since Juno's release, with many players commissioning artists to create concept art for this skin.

The Juno and Uraraka skin is a match made in heaven. Both characters share similarities, including their spacesuit-like outfits and their ability to float around the battlefield. Juno's Uraraka skin is a perfect blend of Overwatch and My Hero Academia aesthetics, capturing the essence of both characters.

Beyond Uraraka: Other Skins Steal the Show

The other skins are equally impressive. Reaper's Shigaraki skin is a standout, blending his signature reaper aesthetic with the cool and menacing presence of the League of Villains' leader. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into creating these skins, ensuring they are both visually appealing and faithful to the characters they represent.

While some players were hoping for other My Hero Academia characters to be represented, like Mirko for Sojourn or Lady Nagant for Widowmaker, the chosen roster showcases the versatility and appeal of both Overwatch and My Hero Academia.

Plus Ultra into the Overwatch Universe!

The My Hero Academia collaboration is a limited-time event that begins on October 17. Players can unlock these unique skins, along with additional cosmetics like sprays and a charm, by purchasing the Overwatch 2 x My Hero Academia Mega Bundle or earning them through gameplay.

This collaboration offers a fantastic opportunity for fans of both franchises to experience the thrill of the Overwatch universe with a My Hero Academia twist.

Prepare yourself for a Plus Ultra experience in Overwatch 2 and experience the power and quirks of your favorite My Hero Academia characters!
