Everyone loves a head kick knockout. KSW 97: Bajor vs. Scheffel went down yesterday (Sat., Aug. 24, 2024) from inside Arena Jaskolka in Tarnow, Poland. In the fifth fight on the main card, Polish Flyweight Wiktoria Czyzewska brutally knocked out Venezuela’s Erianny Castaneda in the first round with a vicious head kick knockout that left Castaneda stiff as a board.

It only took two minutes for Czyzewska to land her shin on Castaneda’s chin. Check out the beautiful knockout below:

Czyzewska, 20, is 4-1 and has a 100% finish rate, including four first-round knockouts. The Polish fighter had an extensive amateur career, racking up a record of 9-1 and fighting a whopping seven times in 2021.

KSW 97: A Night of Action

KSW 97, headlined by a clash of the titans between former title contenders Szymon Bajor and Matheus Scheffel, is the latest action-packed event from Europe's leading MMA promotion. The card features nine fights, mainly due to numerous cancellations, but it remains strong, showcasing plenty of Polish talent facing off against formidable European and international opponents.

KSW 97 will stream live at 1 pm ET / 6 pm BST. Viewers can catch the stream on KSWTV or Viaplay, which is accessible through the KSW website.

Czyzewska's Knockout: A Moment of Brilliance

Wiktoria Czyzewska might have produced the most emphatic knockout of the night at KSW 97 on August 24. Czyzewska came up against Erianny Castaneda on the card's prelims, and engaged in an all-action striking affair in the first round. Czyzewska had the edge with her Muay Thai, scoring thudding body shots and prodding punches before delivering one of the cleanest head kick knockouts you'll ever see.

Czyzewska set up the knockout by catching Castaneda's left low kick, before clipping her with a left hook and a right cross and following up with a right high kick. Castaneda was caught with her guard down and took the kick flush to the jaw, completely flattening her on the canvas.

The Rise of Czyzewska

With this knockout, Czyzewska extends her KSW winning-streak to two, and puts her name forward as one of the most exciting women's MMA prospects to watch on the European scene. It may be way too soon to say if Czyzewska will head to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), but with her finishing ability, she could definitely get a call for the Contender Series next year once her contract with KSW runs out. Many fighters from KSW have made their way to UFC, such as Jan Blachowicz, Dricus Du Plessis, Mateusz Gamrot, and Ariane da Silva (Lipski) - who had an 80% finish rate in the promotion.

A Knockout That Will Be Remembered

This knockout is a testament to Czyzewska's talent and potential. It is a highlight-reel finish that will be talked about for years to come. She is a fighter to watch, and her future in the sport is bright.
