Princess Eugenie has made a surprising decision that will significantly impact her family's life, catching royal fans off guard. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter Eugenie and her husband are reportedly considering a permanent return to the UK.

Currently, the 34-year-old and Jack Brooksbank spend most of their time in Portugal, where Brooksbank is involved in developing a beach resort with Meldman's Discovery Land Company.

Despite this, the 38-year-old continues to co-own AEB Consultants, a successful wine business with his mother Nicola, which saw £616,610 in its account at the end of the last financial year on March 31.

A source told the Daily Express: "Eugenie is adamant that she wants to head back to the UK on a more permanent basis and use the villa in Portugal as a holiday home.

"They are very close to their families and all like spending lots of quality time together with the children. Jack's success has given them the freedom to fly back and forth between two countries and provide the boys with a loving and close-knit family unit.

"Jack's company doing so well makes it easier for them to head back to England on a more permanent basis.

"They [the family] are currently spending a lot of time in Portugal and as the boys get a bit older, they are looking for kindergartens near to their London home and eventually schools in the UK."

The source believes Eugenie and her family's true home is the UK, adding: "They are British through and through. There's no way they would move away from the UK on a permanent basis.

It has been reported that Princess Eugenie and her cousin, Prince Harry were on good terms despite his break from the Royal Family, and she even visited him and Meghan at their home in Montecito.

However, in recent years, Eugenie and her older sister have shown their loyalties to the Firm and may not be as close to the Sussexes as once thought, according to a source.

The Reason Behind Eugenie's Potential Move

The royal couple are considering a permanent move back to Britain wiht their two young sons due to the incredible success of Jack's UK based wine business in the past year.

Jack's Business Success

Princess Eugenie is said to be considering a move back to the UK on a full time basis following a successful year for her husband Jack Brooksbank's AEB Consultants wine business.

The company, which Jack co-owns with his mum Nicola, had an impressive £616,610 in its bank account at the end of this accounting year on March 31 2014 according to official tax statements, the Express reports.

The royal couple and their two young sons currently divide their time between London and Portugal but the ever growing success of Jack's UK based firm means they are now thinking of permanently moving back to England.

The source said: "Eugenie is adamant that she wants to head back to the UK on a more permanent basis and use the villa in Portugal as a holiday home.

"They are very close to their families and all like spending lots of quality time together with the children.

"Jack's success has given them the freedom to fly back and forth between two countries and provide the boys with a loving and close-knit family unit."

Jack announced last year that he had changed the name of his drinks company in a touching gesture towards his two sons as he renamed it AEB Consultants Ltd with the initials standing for the names of his two kids August, three and Ernest, one.The insider added: "Jack's company doing so well makes it easier for them to head back to England on a more permanent basis.

"They [the family] are currently spending a lot of time in Portugal and as the boys get a bit older, they are looking for kindergartens near to their London home and eventually schools in the UK."

Jack, 38, currently enjoys working in the marketing department for the Discovery Land Company with the family adoring their part time home at the exclusive CostaTerra Golf and Ocean club resort but their hearts are said to remain in Britain.

The source claims: "They are British through and through. There's no way they would move away from the UK on a permanent basis.

"The Discovery Land Company has recently acquired new land next to the CostaTerra resort so that will be expanding. "Jack will be working on marketing the projects there but Eugenie has her heart set on more time in Britain."

Family Time

The source also suggested that Eugenie's decision is heavily influenced by her desire to spend more time with her family.

"They are very close to their families and all like spending lots of quality time together with the children. Jack's success has given them the freedom to fly back and forth between two countries and provide the boys with a loving and close-knit family unit,” the source told the Express.

Educational Considerations

The couple's decision to move back to the UK could also be influenced by their sons' education. They are looking for kindergartens near their London home and eventually schools in the UK, the source said.

Eugenie's Potential Role in the Royal Family

Princess Eugenie, 34, has also said to be gaining more prominence within the Royal Family in recent times.

Eugenie, who is the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, is the co-founder of The Anti-Slavery Collective and is on a mission to abolish modern slavery for around 50 million people by bringing together change-makers and raising awareness.

The royal also supports various charities such as The Serpentine and Tate Modern and holds various Ambassador and Patron roles at charities including Teenage Cancer Trust, the European School of Osteopathy, and the Elephant Family.

A Move Back to London Might Mean More for Eugenie

Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, have been making more appearances since King Charles and Kate Middleton have pared down their schedules due to their respective health concerns. Having them at events has led many to speculate that they could be stepping up and helping the royals, but others are saying that Prince William is looking to pare down the number of working royals, so there's still no telling whether or not the sisters will be handed more responsibility from the Firm. A move to London would make it easier for Eugenie to get involved, even with the specter of her father hanging over any aspirations she may have to lend a helping hand.

"For Beatrice and Eugenie, there is also the ‘Prince Andrew factor,’” British PR expert Luana Ribeira explained to GB News, per Marie Claire. “Although they cannot be held responsible for the words and actions of their father, I think their current strategy of keeping their head down and quietly getting on with life is a wise one for them.”

Eugenie's Future: A More Active Royal?

While Princess Eugenie has shown no intention of being a working royal, her move back to the UK could open the door to more high-profile appearances and increased involvement in royal affairs. With her husband's successful business, her family ties, and her commitment to charitable causes, Eugenie is poised to make a significant impact on the royal landscape.
