Donald Trump clearly has support among NFL players, as Raiders stars Max Crosby and Gardner Minshew posed with the former US President at his Las Vegas hotel.
On Friday, snaps of the Raiders' star defensive end and new starting quarterback went viral on X, as both, Crosby and Minshew, showed a thumbs up while having their pics' taken with No. 45, perhaps a sign of approval to the Republicans' 2024 presidential nominee.
'Nevada is Trump Country,' Alex Bruesewitz - a Trump campaign advisor - wrote as the caption to his post of Crosby and Gardner with the 78-year-old Trump.
Standing at 6-ft-3, Trump's height is similar to Minshew's and is only a few inches off of Crosby - attributes that a user noticed on X.
'Trump is. big dude, those guys are sizable... Love it!!' the MAGA supporter pointed out.
Another user on X suggested that Crosby linked up with the former US President for his birthday. Crosby, 27, was born on August 22, 1997.
Trump has had a noted relationship with the sport of American Football, both at the professional and collegiate levels.
In the 1980s, Trump tried on numerous occasions to become an owner of an NFL team, though he has never succeeded in his bids.
In the mid-1980s, Trump became the team owner of the New Jersey Generals in the rival United States Football League (USFL) and led the league in a lawsuit against the NFL to attempt to force a merger.
The USFL won a futile victory in the lawsuit, though without a merger or a substantial financial victory. Trump's actions have been widely seen as a major factor in the dissolution of the USFL shortly thereafter.
During his presidency, Trump called for a boycott of the NFL over the US national anthem kneeling protests that many players were participating in, with some analysts viewing Trump's comments as part of his continued feud with the NFL.
As president, Trump attended several high-profile games, primarily in the South.
According to a 2018 article in The Hill, Trump favored college athletics during his time in office due to his high-profile feud with athletes and associates in professional sports leagues such as the NFL and NBA.
The former president was in Nevada on Friday ahead of what is expected to be a pretty important rally in Arizona, after news broke that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is suspending his presidential campaign, which came with an endorsement from the Independent candidate.
While in the Silver State, Trump took some time to take photos with Raiders QB Gardner Minshew, receiver Alex Bachman, and defensive end Maxx Crosby.
First of all, this just lends credence to the argument that Gardner Minshew would be a fun dude to have some beers with.
Second of all, it's awesome to see athletes who don't feel compelled to kneel to the woke mob and only take photos with politicians if they have a "D" behind their name, and people were loving it.
And if you needed anything else to let you know how powerful this photo is, it even won over a Broncos fan:
Sure, a quick photo isn't an endorsement, but it's nice to see that the tide is changing as far as athletes not caring about playing by the left's rules of scaring people into silence about their views.
It shouldn't be that way, but it is. So, major credit to those fellas for not being intimidated. No one should be, but it's still much riskier than giving a speech to an arena full of trained seals and calling it risky.

Some Raiders fans will love it, some will hate it, but I have a feeling that more are going to fall into the "love it" camp.
