Inter Milan wingback Matteo Darmian feels that the Nerazzurri can always rely on great service from Federico Dimarco. The 34-year-old spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, after yesterday evening’s Serie A win over Lecce. He hailed his club and international’s outstanding crossing ability.

Darmian was the beneficiary of a very good Dimarco delivery into the box yesterday evening. It was not quite a goal from one wingback to the other. Striker Mehdi Taremi also had a decisive touch, flicking the ball onto the head of Darmian. But the principle of quickly getting the ball from a wide area to a wingback on the far post was certainly evident. The goal required a perfectly timed and executed header by Darmian. And it also was the result of the technical quality of the cross that his opposite number Dimarco played into the box.

“We knew that it was crucial against a back-four defense to try and get him open,” Darmian said of his teammate Dimarco. “And then, Dimash has an incredible left foot.”

“He always puts great balls into the box,” Darmian said of Dimarco. “And it’s right for me to try and finish at the far post.”

“Sometimes it goes right. Sometimes it doesn’t. But we always have to attack that area.”

The two Italian internationals showed how important the wide players are to Inter’s attack. Darmian said of yesterday’s match that “We wanted to make up for the draw in Genoa.” “And to win our first match at the San Siro.”

“It was a good performance from everyone,” said the Inter wingback. “Now we have to keep working, because that’s the only way that we can get results.”

Darmian also added that “We were calm after the Genoa match. We wanted to go out on the pitch and get the result.”

The Story of Frattesi's Possible Return

Roma are reportedly looking to bring back Davide Frattesi to the Italian capital. In a late attempt to secure an additional midfielder before the end of the summer, the Giallorossi are being linked with former Primavera player Davide Frattesi.

Given his limited minutes at Inter, Frattesi may be tempted to explore other destinations for this season. According to a report by Teleradiostereo, Roma are engaged in talks with Frattesi’s agent, Beppe Riso, who is orchestrating a possible move for the midfielder.

The Giallorossi are also in contact with Inter and despite the deal appears difficult, Roma could also include a technical counterpart with Bryan Cristante named as a possibility in order to lower Inter’s asking price for Frattesi.

Is a Return to Roma on the Cards?

The potential for Frattesi’s return to Roma is intriguing. It could be a win-win situation for both parties.

Roma would be getting a talented midfielder with experience in Serie A and a player who knows the club well. Frattesi would be getting a chance to play more regularly and to potentially contribute to a successful team.

However, Inter will not want to let Frattesi go easily. They are a strong team and they have a need for his services. It will be interesting to see if Roma can outbid Inter and bring Frattesi back to the Italian capital.

The Future for Frattesi: A New Chapter?

It remains to be seen whether Frattesi’s potential return to Roma will actually happen. But one thing is for sure, the midfielder is a player who has a lot to offer.

He has the potential to be a key player for any team in Serie A. The decision of whether to stay with Inter or to move to Roma will be a difficult one for him to make. But ultimately, it is a decision that could have a big impact on his career.
