Team News
Southampton player Jack Stephens was sent off in the 79th minute against United and will be out for this match. The Saints have not had a good start to their return to the top flight in England, four defeats conceding eight goals and only scoring one, after starting losing two games by the minimum, they added two more defeats showing defensive problems by allowing three goals in each, against Manchester United and Brentford. The only good news came in the middle of the week when they advanced in the EFL Carabao Cup by eliminating Everton on penalties, this qualification could serve as motivation for what remains of the first round, with the mission of getting out of the bottom of the table.
The boys from the tractor have had an irregular start in the Premier League, after easily reaching the first division in the EFL Championship, the change of level has cost the Town team. Kieran McKenna's team got back on track and showed improvement in the last two games, drawing against Fulham and Brighton, the only two defeats were against two big fish in Liverpool and Manchester City.
