Stacey Solomon delighted fans by sharing the touching reason why she took her eldest son, Zachary, to the National Television Awards - where she triumphed with the top award. The much-loved television star, who won in the Factual Entertainment category for her hit show 'Sort Your Life Out' at the ceremony held at London's O2 Arena, was seen attending the glitzy affair with 16-year-old Zachary.
Stacey, originally known from The X Factor and now a panellist on Loose Women, expressed how grateful she was to have her son accompany her on such an occasion, after voicing concerns that she might be missing out on precious moments of her children's upbringing.
While exciting followers with several Instagram snaps showing the duo styled for the NTAs beside a towering tree at the famous Pickle Cottage, Stacey posted: “On the way to the NTAs with Zachary who has been by my side in this crazy journey since the very beginning.
“I wouldn't be who I am if it weren't for you Zach. I'm so proud to be with you on such a special night, where I've been nominated for best present[er] and best factual with my @sortyourlifeout family. I don't believe I'd be on this path if it wasn't for having you. My rock, since forever. to the moon and back forever…” [sic].
A Mother's Love and Gratitude
Stacey's heartwarming message to Zachary was a testament to the special bond they share. The fact that she brought him along to such a significant event highlighted the importance of family and the unwavering support she receives from her eldest son. The post resonated with many fans, who were quick to comment on Zachary's growth and the evident pride he holds for his mother's accomplishments.
Facing the Juggling Act of Motherhood and Career
In her acceptance speech at the awards, Stacey made sure to mention Zachary while also thanking those involved in 'Sort Your Life Out'. Previously in May, Stacey had mentioned her desire to cut down on her TV commitments in order to spend more time with her family.
The TV personality opened up about her family life, sharing: “I think I'm at a point in my life where I recognise that I've been really busy for his life, and his life is at a really important point, and my second son will get to that point before I know it.”
Stacey continued: “And then I've got these three babies. I don't want to miss what I potentially feel like I missed with my older children. And I want to be there for my older children, who I think need me now more than ever. I've been battling with that in my head.”
A Win For 'Sort Your Life Out' But Not For Everyone
Her show triumphed over 'Clarkson's Farm', 'Gogglebox', 'The Martin Lewis Money Show Live', and 'The Yorkshire Vet' to take home the trophy in the factual entertainment category. While many ITV viewers were thrilled to see Stacey claim victory, others took to social media to express their outrage that a male contender didn't win the award. One disgruntled X user exclaimed this evening: “NTA is rigged stacey Solomon is w**k #NTA @JeremyClarkson should have won on clarkson farm”.
Another vented: “Five minutes in and Stacey Solomon beats Clarkson and Martin Lewis! What a load of crap! #NTAs.” A further comment read: “Stacey Solomon helps lazy people who cant put things away after them.. Pick it up and put it away.” A fourth furious viewer echoed: “Fk me ! @NTAAWARDS ! Shows u what bnds vote for on this st show , sort you're life out with Stacey Solomon wins an award - F** right off ! Whoever voted for these b******s you wanna sort your life out ! ! Bigtime.”
Celebrating the Journey
Celebrating 15 years since her debut on our television screens during X Factor auditions, Stacey triumphed with the 'Sort Your Life Out' team. Reflecting on her journey, Stacey noted: “I would not be where I am today without X Factor, and I'm so grateful for that opportunity. I brought my eldest son with me here tonight, which feels like full circle for me because he has been with me on this crazy journey since the very beginning, and we started it together, and now he's here and got to see his mother win an award!”.
Stacey Solomon's win at the NTAs was a testament to her hard work and the impact of her show. While not everyone shared the same enthusiasm for her victory, it was clear that the emotional significance of sharing the moment with her son Zachary touched countless hearts.
