LITTLETON, Mass. — Ready to become a doll for a day? Polly Pocket, a “tiny but mighty” 1990s-era icon, is now a life-size AirBnB open to host guests in Massachusetts.
For more than three decades, Polly Pocket has always been pocket-sized, until now. In celebration of her 35th birthday, Polly is welcoming guests to stay at her 42-foot-tall Slumber Party Fun compact in Littleton.
Guests can request to book one of three one-night stays occurring Sept. 12-14 for four guests each, at $89 per person in a nod to Polly’s debut in 1989, according to AirBnB.
“Let’s have some serious slumber party fun in my hometown of Littleton, where we make the ordinary extraordinary,” Polly said in a post on AirBnB’s website. “There’s adventure to be had from my closet full of nostalgic fashion fun to the surprises I’ve left hidden around the compact. The fun is endless!”

Airbnb is making 90s kids' dreams come true with their latest "Icon" house!
The vacation rental platform revealed Wednesday, August 7, that they've created a life-sized version of Polly Pocket's iconic plastic house, and guests will be able to book a stay there this summer.
Located in Littleton, Mass. Polly's home is now a two-story, 42-foot-tall, shell-shaped compact with all the trappings of the popular toy. A stay inside the pastel, vintage, slumber party-themed home will cost $89 per person in honor of the year Polly Pocket launched, 1989.
Those who secure a night in the compact will have some once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including the chance to get ready at Polly's iconic vanity, which will be full of 90s hair and nail accessories.
Guests will be able to try on human-scale versions of some of the doll's gummy-textured outfits and raid Polly's fridge, which will be filled with essential vintage slumber party snacks.
Once their bellies are full, guests may want to take a nap in Polly's pull-out couch or explore her Action Park Tent located a few feet away from the compact on the lush property.
Crafty fans might prefer to make charm bracelets they can trade with friends or simply relax on the couch with pillows, popcorn and a movie.
Guests can request to book one of three one-night stays with up to four guests to take place between Thursday, September 12 and Saturday, September 14.
The request period for the experience begins August 21 at 6:00am PT and ends August 28 at 11:59pm PT on Airbnb's website.
In addition to the overnight stays, the Polly Pocket Icon will offer 21 slots for up to 12 guests to experience a day-time adventure inspired by the toy from from September 16 to October 6.
The daytime experience will also be available to book on August 21.
Polly's' home is the latest introduction in Airbnb's Icon's series, which they launched in May with 11 initial homes.

Located in a gorgeous clearing surrounded by lush trees, you may be in Littleton, but you’ll feel worlds away from reality. Keep in mind that the two-story compact is always open, so you’ll be spending a lot of your time in the fresh air.
Interested parties have the chance to book one of three one-night stays in this throwback property, to take place September 12–14, 2024, at $89 per person (a nod to the year Polly debuted). When submitting a request to book, you'll answer a question about why you want to go. A random set of potential guests will be chosen, then those answers will be reviewed; Airbnb says it's looking for unique perspectives and connections to the icon.
If you're not selected for one of the overnight stays, you’re not out of luck: Up to 12 guests at a time can spend the day in Polly's life-sized compact from September 18 through October 6. While there, guests can try on vintage looks from the doll’s life-sized closet, make custom charm bracelets, indulge in a snack-filled picnic, and DIY their own hair and nails at Polly’s vanity. Both types of stays will be available to book starting August 21 at 6 a.m. PT. (the day visit costs $35).
The Polly Pocket compact is the latest in a line of many unique properties that are part of Airbnb’s new Icons category, a vertical for “extraordinary experiences hosted by the greatest names in music, film, television, art, sports, and more.” For more nostalgia, you can head to New Castle, New York, where you’ll spend the day training at the X-Mansion with other mutants. Airbnb announced Wednesday that they have brought a popular Polly Pocket compact house to life in the town. Fans of the “tiny but mighty” 90s icon will be able to revisit childhood memories and book a stay at the life-size doll house this summer.
The house will be open from September 12 to 14 for three one-night stays, according to the company’s website. Each stay allows four guests to spend the night at $89 per person, a nod to Polly’s debut in 1989.
Guests can request to book a one-night stay at the compact starting August 21 through August 28.
This pocket turned life-size rental is Airbnb’s latest addition to their “Icons” properties, a collection of specialty stays that are designed or curated based on famous figures in pop culture.
“Icons are the most extraordinary experiences hosted by the world’s greatest icons across music, film, TV, art, sports, and more,” their website says.
The house is a life-size replica of the 1994 “Slumber party Fun” compact toy. The toy house featured a retro purple and blue living area on one side and a colorful kitchen and vanity on the other side.
After stepping onto Polly’s house, guests can relive childhood imaginations in full size.
The house features a retro fridge where visitors can “craft the snack-filled picnic every ‘90s kid wanted” and a wardrobe of some of Polly’s “most iconic throwback looks” in the “beloved signature gummy texture,” the website says.
The house is decked out in signature Polly fashion, including a vanity with vintage inspired hair and nail accessories, a vibrant purple and blue pullout couch, and a life-size “Action Park Tent,” the website says.
For fans who are unable to book an overnight stay, the property is also available for day visits from September 16 to October 6, the website says. The property will host 21 visits for up to 12 guests each.
Booking for those experiences will be from August 21 to August 28.

The 42-foot-tall compact is located in Littleton, and people can request to book a one-night stay on either Sept. 12, 13 or 14. The cost of the stay is $89 per person and the compact can be rented for up to four guests.

Bookings for the Polly Pocket compact open at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
Those who don’t get to stay at the house overnight can request to book a daytime “playdate” at the compact from Sept. 16 to Oct. 6. Bookings will open at the same time as the overnight stay.

LITTLETON, MASS. (WHDH) - A life-sized experience will be calling Littleton, Massachusetts home for the end of the summer through the early fall.
“We picked Littleton because, fun fact, Polly Pocket is from a fictional town called Littleton,” said Ali Killam, a communications lead at Airbnb.
“This compact is meant to be one-to-one life size of the 1994 Mattel Polly Compact. This compact the life size compact is about 42-feet tall,” Killam said.
The experience is brought to guests by Airbnb and Mattel.
“What is so unique about this icon, specifically, is that it will allow guests to experience Polly Pocket in way they’ve never been able to before,” Killam explained.
The two companies are coming together to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the first Polly Pocket.
The stay is on Airbnb’s Icons list of destinations based off of and hosted by the greatest names in pop culture.
Polly Pocket hit the shelves for the first time in 1989. The Mattel Polly Pocket Compact came out in 1994.
The experience will bring Polly Pocket to life in a number of ways.
Guests will even hear from Polly by phone and in a special welcome video.
“So, while Polly is away celebrating her 35th birthday, she has left a welcome video for guests when they check in,” Killam said.
Everything in the compact has been transformed — from the furniture guests can use, to the working TV and real life kitchen appliances complete with 90’s themed snacks, to Polly’s closet.
The closet includes true Polly Pocket fashion designed after the clothes she wore.
“Guests will be able to come in — try on different outfits of Polly’s have a little fashion show,” Killam added.
Guests will be able to try them on and take pictures before accessorizing in front of Polly’s personal vanity.
“…this vanity is also true to the compact and inside here guests will be able to pick out any 90s era nostalgic hair accessories, nail accessories, clip on nails here, face art if they’d like to kind of complete their Polly perfect look,” Killam said.
From there, there will be also be a bracelet making station.
“We’re excited and we hope guests will be excited too!” Killam said.
Booking will open up the week of Aug. 21 through Aug. 28.
Overnight stays will be available from Sept. 12 through Sept. 14.
A total of 21 two-hour experiences will be available from Sept. 16 through Oct. 6.
