One of the UK's 'most loved bands' is set to host a huge gig in Glasgow next year. Stereophonics will perform at Glasgow Summer Sessions in Bellahouston Park in the city on Saturday, June 28, 2025, as part of their Stadium Anthems tour. The Welsh rock band - which was formed in 1992 - is made up of Kelly Jones, Richard Jones, Adam Zindani, and Jamie Morrison.

They are known for their hit tunes including Dakota, Maybe Tomorrow, Have A Nice Day, Handbags And Gladrags, A Thousand Trees, I Wanna Get Lost With You, Just Looking, and many more. The brand-new tour - which is the band's first in three years - will see them perform their hits from over the years.

During their career, the group has been incredibly successful. Their achievements include eight UK number-one albums, 12 UK top 10 albums, and 11 UK top 10 singles. Meanwhile, they have also sold over 10million albums, received 5 BRIT award nominations, and one BRIT award win.

Ahead of the new tour, Kelly said: “Being on the road again with my best friends, playing all the hits of this bands catalogue, for people in huge outdoor gatherings through the summer of 2025 makes me so excited, we should make a new album…oh wait …we already did that!

“See ya there for more good times.”

Glasgow Summer Sessions is the founding event of the Summer Sessions series which takes place across the country and recently expanded to cities across England and Wales. The event at the popular Southside park has welcomed world-renowned artists since it began in 2013 such as Paolo Nutini, The Cure, Kings of Leon and many more.

On top of the show in Glasgow, Stereophonics will also be hosting shows in Belfast, Dublin, London, Cardiff, Huddersfield, and Cork. Tickets for the gig will go on sale from Friday, October 11.

The group, known for their hit singles Just Looking, Mr Writer and Dakota, might not have the length of a tour compared to Ocean Colour Scene’s announcement, but that the group are playing some of the biggest stadiums in the United Kingdom more than makes up for the “lack” of dates. Kelly Jones and company will be performing in Huddersfield from June 2025 at The John Smith’s Stadium, followed by their headline appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival next year, shortly afterwards continuing their dates in Glasgow, London and Cardiff.

Jones expressed his excitement heading back on the road, despite touring and recording with Far From Saints and his only solo tours: “Being on the road again with my best friends, playing all the hits of this band’s catalogue for people in huge outdoor gatherings through the summer of 2025 makes me so excited. We should make a new album…oh wait …we already did that!

“See ya there for more good times…. TUNE!!! TUNE!!! TUNE!!”

Kelly Jones and crew will be performing at the following locations on the following dates in 2025.

Thursday 05 June Belfast Belsonic

Friday 06 June Dublin St. Anne’s Park

Saturday 07 June Cork Virgin Media Park

Saturday 14 June Huddersfield - The John Smith’s Stadium

Saturday 28 June Glasgow Bellahouston Park smmrsessions.com

Friday 04 July London Finsbury Park

Saturday 12 July Cardiff Principality Stadium

Stereophonics will also be headlining the Isle of Wight Festival on Saturday 21 June 2025. For more information go to Isleofwightfestival.com.

There are currently no presale options available for Stereophonics tour of the UK in 2025, which means everyone gets a chance to pick up a ticket when they go on sale on October 11 2025 from 9am through Ticketmaster and Gigs and Tours.

The band promised “no hit left behind” and at their performance on September 8 2022, that was indeed the case - including performances of Dakota and going back to their early efforts with A Thousand Trees.
