A TV favourite is on her way back to our screens after a 15-year hiatus, as Trisha Goddard, who is known for her much-watched talk show Trisha, is making her comeback to TV.

Trisha, at 66, is reportedly gearing up to take the reins of Good Morning Britain next week and is expected to helm two episodes as a guest presenter. She's poised to confirm her involvement imminently, with plans to discuss her own cancer journey.

This stint marks her first in a morning TV presenting role since her daytime talk show outing 15 years ago.

An insider confided to The Sun, "Trisha's personal story is a real tale of determination and the perfect piece of inspiration for people going through a similar ordeal. Despite everything she has been through, she is back doing what she does best - getting into the thick of news and current affairs on a big show."

If the rumours are true, Trisha will be revisiting the small screen spotlight, following the cancellation of her eponymous show, which, despite its endearing popularity, was retired from broadcasting, reports the Mirror. Fronting her self-titled chatfest on ITV from 1998 until 2004, before Channel 5 took on the reins extending its run by nearly six years, Trisha became a household name.

Despite the show's fanfare, it was scrapped and during the final series Trisha received her breast cancer diagnosis. After beating the illness once, she declared in 2022 that while her condition was treatable, the cancer was incurable.

In March, the TV presenter commemorated Mother's Day with a heartfelt message to fellow mums battling cancer on her social media page. The mother of two encouraged those grappling with the disease to "hang in there".

Her post on the special day read: "Happy Mother's Day UK to all those Mamas going through Cancer treatment and Chemo. I love that my Baybeeze bought me this hat because dem know how me roll! We don't "battle" "fight" "win" or "lose" anything when it comes to Cancer. We're not "brave" or "warriors" - We just try'na do our normal day-to-day stuff.

"We take our Meds. We turn up for Treatment. We get anxious and scared when people see us as our illness and not as ourselves."

This followed her revelation to Hello Magazine! about her stage four secondary breast cancer diagnosis, which is treatable but incurable. She further disclosed that the disease had now spread to her bones, specifically her right hip.

GMB is on ITV weekdays at 6am
