Geordie Shore legend Vicky Pattison stunned in a mini white wedding dress as she married long-term partner Ercan Ramadan, fulfilling a dream wedding that was months in the making.
The pair, who first started dating in 2019 and got engaged in 2022, have finally tied the knot in their first wedding ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall earlier today. Vicky, 36, was dressed in an off-the-shoulder white mini dress and wore a delicate veil while Towie star Ercan, showed up to the special occasion in a black suit and bowtie with a white rose pinned onto his lapel. Guest were spotted holding umbrellas on the rainy Saturday afternoon but that wasn’t enough to dampen any spirits as confetti was thrown over the delighted newlywed couple.
There were around 150 guests to watch the couple say ‘I do’ to one another at the iconic London wedding venue, and this is just the start of the festivities. Towie’s Pete Wicks was also in attendance in a dapper black suit. Next, the happy couple will then jet off to Puglia for a second wedding ceremony that will feature in the upcoming Channel 4 series Vicky Pattison: Destination Wedding.
A Journey to the Altar
The wedding ceremony has not been without its hiccups and various roadblocks. Vicky has been candid about the financial pressures that come with planning a wedding. 'I knew weddings were a big money business and, like I say, it’s not my first rodeo in this space, but everything’s just got more and more expensive. I was really shocked. I don’t want to be paying it off for the next 10 years, or remortgaging my house for a wedding,' Vicky told Rock My Wedding in the lead up to the nuptials.
Overcoming PMDD
Just yesterday, she also took to social media to share how her health condition, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, has affected her in the lead up to the big day. 'In the week before my wedding I didn’t want to be this person… you imagine being excited & happy, having little dickie birds pop your dress on for you… instead I’ve been depressed, anxious & self-critical filled with feminine rage, hopelessness & exhaustion. That’s what PMDD does,' she shared in a series of candid posts.
After extending her solidarity to anyone else going through similar symptoms, she reflected on her wedding day. She added she was ‘adamant’ her ‘thoughts and hormones’ weren’t going to ‘take this moment’ away from her. 'I might be slight more prickly of a bride than I was intending.. think less Cinderella and more Ursula the sea witch.. but so what?!'
A Celebration of Love
The couple's journey to the altar has been a blend of excitement and challenges. Earlier this year, Vicky was also shaken after her £200,000 engagement ring was stolen while she was travelling on the train. She was seen ‘absolutely distraught’ and reported the theft to the police, although the outcome is unknown. The duo celebrated a joint stag and hen do in Dubai in the lead-up to the wedding and the whole process will be recounted in the two-part E4 special. The I’m A Celebrity winner recently said on Instagram: ‘Ercan and I are super excited to share our journey with E4 viewers. No doubt there’ll be tears, tantrums and tense moments over table plans. But ultimately, we can’t wait to start this next chapter of our lives surrounded by our incredible friends and family. I’m finally getting my happily ever after.’
Puglia: The Dream Destination
Vicky has shared the couple's decision to have a second ceremony in Italy, a destination that holds a special place in their hearts. On the White Wine Question Time podcast, Vicky also opened up about how they settled on their Italian destination. 'We went all around Italy trying to find the right venue for us and stuff and the right sort of region. And we just completely fell in love with Puglia. It was relatively unheard of when we booked it about 18 months ago. Then Kim Kardashian popped down with Dolce and Gabbana for a big fashion show and now every [one] knows about it,' she explained. Vicky's love for her hometown shines through in the unexpected catering choice for the London reception. The bride shared photos on social media of a Greggs van, adorned with a Pastyrams sign, that was part of their festivities. It seems the couple chose their favourite Greggs treats for the truck too, as one photo shows a sign alongside, with “His order: steak bake,” “Her order: Cheese & onion bake,” and “Our order: sausage roll,” listed alongside. Vicky captioned the delicious photos with the words: “Meet the PASTY-RAMS… I mean the Patti-Rams. Being a proud geordie girl, there was only one option for who would cater our wedding… the one and only @greggs_official. The Greggs van was the most amazing surprise for our guests and we LOVED IT!! Thankyou so much for making our wedding fun and a night EVERYONE will remember.”
