Explore the Art of Printing with LEGOs at Wellington Workshops
Wellington Community Centre will host a series of engaging printing workshops on August 3 and 10 from 11 am to 1 pm, where families can unleash their creativity and experiment with LEGOs.
Local artist Alex Williams, known for her vibrant prints and murals, will guide participants through the art of relief printing using LEGO pieces. This innovative technique allows for endless possibilities, from creating patterns and pictures to writing messages in reverse.
Workshops for All Ages
The workshops are designed for children aged five and up, as well as adults, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the hands-on experience. Each participant will create and take home a variety of prints and a custom-printed notebook.
A Creative Oasis for Families
With small group sizes of eight people, the workshops offer a supportive environment where participants can learn and experiment freely. For those with younger children, one parent can attend for free to assist.
Alex Williams, an experienced art and primary school teacher, brings her passion for art education to these workshops. She encourages participants to explore their imaginations and create unique designs.
Inspiring the Community with Art
Alex's love of pattern, ceramics, architecture, and everyday objects shines through in her work. She enjoys collaborating with clients to create personalized designs that resonate with them.
Supporting Local Businesses
Alex's recent projects include a stunning wall mural in the teaching space of Wellington's A House of Cake and charming 'secret garden' illustrations on the windows of the High Street cafe.
