Wolves vs Liverpool LIVE!

The Premier League action on Saturday comes to a close at Molineux, where Liverpool will look to continue their impressive start to life under Arne Slot as they face Wolves. Shock loss at home to Nottingham Forest aside, it’s been a hugely encouraging opening to the post-Jurgen Klopp era on Merseyside, with the Reds winning all of their other games across all competitions so far and seemingly posing an under-the-radar title threat with all the focus fixed on Manchester City and Arsenal.

They will be favourites to make it four consecutive wins today after a midweek thrashing of West Ham in the Carabao Cup, with Alisson Becker making his return from injury to start in goal. Darwin Nunez, however, misses out due to illness. Gary O’Neil was unsure how many Wolves players he should be missing as his struggling side, who went into the weekend sitting bottom of the top-flight, were hit with a virus themselves, but he has only had to make two changes.

Liverpool have won 14 of the past 15 league meetings between these clubs including the last three in a row, though did come thoroughly unstuck on a visit to Molineux last year - losing 3-0 under Klopp in February 2023. Follow Wolves vs Liverpool live below!

Wolves vs Liverpool latest news

Live updates

If you’re waiting for Match of the Day, you’re both in the wrong place and also going to want to look away fairly swiftly. As in now.

Here are the 3pm results:

  • Arsenal 4-2 Leicester
  • Chelsea 4-2 Brighton
  • Brentford 1-1 West Ham
  • Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace
  • Nottingham Forest 0-1 Fulham

Fair to say this isn’t a fixture that Wolves have particularly enjoyed.

They’ve lost 11 of the last 13 matches between the two sides, with the sole win in that run coming at Molineux last year.

Well... there’s room for improvement.

Liverpool have the opportunity to go top of the Premier League tonight.

Manchester City were held to a draw earlier today by Newcastle, and it’s 2-2 between Arsenal and Leicester with a few minutes to go.

Should Liverpool beat Wolves, they will go a point clear of City at the top.

Pretty much as we expected from Liverpool.

Darwin Nunez has not been named in the squad, despite showing better form recently.

He’s suffering from illness and is not involved this evening.

The hosts have arrived at Molineux.

Two changes for Wolves, as Bueno and Toti come in to start at centre-back.

Starting XI: Johnstone, Semedo, Bueno, Toti, Ait-Nouri, Andre, J. Gomes, Lemina, Bellegarde, Cunha, Strand Larsen

Subs: Sa, Doherty, Hwang, R. Gomes, Doyle, Sarabia, Forbs, Guedes, Pond

Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Mac Allister, Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, Salah, Jota, Diaz

Subs: Kelleher, Endo, Gomez, Chiesa, Jones, Gakpo, Tsimikas, Quansah, Bradley

All the team news coming up in the next five minutes.

Lots of talk about a virus going through the Wolves camp - we’re about to find out just how much it has impacted them.

It’s a glorious afternoon at Molineux for now... might even get a few hours without rain.

It’s half-time in the 3pm kick-offs.

Chaos at Stamford Bridge. Chaos. Chelsea are 4-2 up against Brighton, and Cole Palmer has scored all four. Defending... has not been great.

Arsenal are 2-0 up on Leicester, Brentford narrowly in front against West Ham and Crystal Palace lead at Everton. Goalless between Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

Wolves vs Liverpool: Team News & Preview

The Old Gold face the free-scoring Reds at Molineux.

Bottom club Wolves face another tricky challenge on Saturday as they host a Liverpool side that can't stop scoring.

Despite a number of creditable performances, the hosts have claimed just one point from their opening five fixtures, and must now make do without centre-back Yerson Mosquera, who suffered a  knee injury in last weekend's defeat of Aston Villa. Mosquera will likely be sidelined for the rest of the season.

The Wolves now face a Liverpool that has claimed three wins and scored 11 goals since their shocking loss at home to Nottingham Forest. Their latest victory was a resounding 5-1 thrashing of West Ham at Anfield on Wednesday in the EFL Cup.

Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Liverpool on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Molineux, with kickoff set for 5:30 p.m. BST local time, making it a 12:30 p.m. ET or 9:30 a.m. PT start in the US and Canada, and an 2:30 a.m. AEST kickoff in Australia in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Below, we'll outline the best live TV streaming services to use to watch the match as it happens, wherever you are in the world.

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil has seen his side crash to three straight defeats.

If you find yourself unable to view EPL matches locally, you may need a different way to watch the games -- that's where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to stop your ISP from throttling your speeds on game day by encrypting your traffic, and it's also a great idea if you're traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network, and you want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins.

With a VPN, you're able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to the game. Most VPNs, like our Editors' Choice, ExpressVPN, make it really easy to do this.

Using a VPN to watch or stream sports is legal in any country where VPNs are legal, including the US, UK and Canada, as long as you have a legitimate subscription to the service you're streaming. You should be sure your VPN is set up correctly to prevent leaks: Even where VPNs are legal, the streaming service may terminate the account of anyone it deems to be circumventing correctly applied blackout restrictions.

ExpressVPN is our current best VPN pick for people who want a reliable and safe VPN, and it works on a variety of devices. It's normally $13 a month, but if you sign up for an annual subscription for $100 you'll get three months free and save 49%. That's the equivalent of $6.67 a month with code SPECIALDEAL, which should be automatically applied.

Note that ExpressVPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Saturday's early evening match is exclusive to Sky Sports, showing on its Sky Sports Main Event, Premier League and UHD channels. If you already have Sky Sports as part of your TV package, you can stream the game via its Sky Go app, but cord-cutters will want to get set up with a Now account and a Now Sports membership to stream the game.

Sky subsidiary Now offers streaming access to Sky Sports channels with a Now Sports membership. You can get a day of access for £15, or sign up to a monthly plan from £35 per month right now.

If you want to stream this EPL game live in Canada, you'll need to subscribe to Fubo Canada. The service has exclusive rights to every Premier League fixture once again this season.

Fubo is the go-to destination for Canadians looking to watch the EPL this season, with exclusive streaming rights to every match. It costs CA$30 per month, though you can save some cash by paying quarterly or annually.

Football fans Down Under can watch EPL matches live on streaming service Optus Sport, which is showing every single Premier League fixture of the 2024/25 season live in Australia.

With exclusive rights to stream all EPL matches live this season, as well as German Bundesliga and Spanish La Liga games, streaming service Optus Sport is a particularly big draw for Aussie soccer fans.

If you're already an Optus network customer, you can bag Optus Sport for a reduced price, with discounts bringing the price down to as low as AU$7 per month. If you're not, a standalone monthly subscription to the service starts at AU$25.
