ABBA legend Björn Ulvaeus has tied the knot for the third time, marrying his partner Christina Sas on Saturday in a ceremony officiated by comedian and ex-“Great British Bake Off” host Sandi Toksvig.

“The wedding took place in Copenhagen in the presence of close friends and family. Sandi Toksvig, Anne Linnet and Kaya Brüel generously performed and made the evening extra special.”
Ulvaeus shared the happy news with fans on Instagram, posting a series of heartwarming photos from the day.
In the images, Christina looked radiant in a stunning khaki dress. The post read: “Today, on the 21st of September 2024, Björn Ulvaeus married Christina Sas from Herning, Denmark.”
The couple met in Nürnberg in 2021 during the release of ABBA’s final album Voyage and began dating in the spring of 2022.
Great British Bake Off presenter Sandi Toksvig officiated, wearing red clergy robes, while Danish singers Anne Linnet and Kaya Brüel performed, making the evening all the more memorable.
Ulvaeus and Sas met in 2021 when Christina worked for ABBA's label Universal in Germany, coinciding with the release of the group’s final album Voyage.
Their relationship became public in June 2022 when they attended an event together for the first time.
Ulvaeus is known for being one-quarter of Swedish pop group Abba, who this year celebrated 50 years since they won the Eurovision song contest with Waterloo. He was married twice — to his bandmate Agnetha Foltskog, the second marriage with Lina Kanershe lasted until 2022.
At its outset, ABBA, which dominated the US and European charts in the 1970s, consisted of two couples: Ulvaeus and vocalist Agnetha Fältskog, and songwriter and keyboard player Benny Andersson and vocalist Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
Ulvaeus married Fältskog in 1971 and Andersson and Lyngstad wed in 1978.
After winning the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Waterloo,” and making global hits such as “Mamma Mia,” “Dancing Queen,” “SOS” and “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight),” Ulvaeus and Fältskog divorced before the release of 1979 song “Voulez-Vous.”
Two years later, Andersson and Lyngstad were also divorced and the group disbanded in 1982.
Ulvaeus married Lena Kallersjö in 1981 but the pair divorced after 41 years of marriage in 2022, a year after ABBA reunited.
He has four children, two from each of his former marriages.
The group originally comprised two couples – Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog, and Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. Fältskog and Ulvaeus, who married in 1971, divorced in 1980, while Andersson and Lyngstad divorced in 1981 – a year before the band split.
The quartet did not reform to perform at Eurovision this year despite the event being held in Sweden after Loreen won the competition in 2023 with her hit single Tattoo. Ulvaeus was also previously married to Lena Kallersjö.
The age and profession of the musician's new spouse are not specified. It is only known that Christina Sas is from Denmark.
The 79-year-old Swedish singer, who has been married twice before, met Christina Sas in Nuremberg, Germany, in 2021 in connection with the release of Abba’s last album Voyage.

Ulvaeus posted a number of photos from the day, one of which shows the host of BBC show QI, Toksvig, dressed in red robes standing next to Ulvaeus, who donned a suit, and his wife Sas, who wore a green wrap dress.
The broadcaster Gyles Brandreth said in a post to Instagram that he had “loved meeting Abba's Björn Ulvaeus” and Sas for his Rosebud podcast.
He added that Toksvig had officiated the ceremony and Ulvaeus said she made the day “extra special”.
TV presenter Toksvig has been friends with Björn since the pair collaborated on Mamma Mia: The Party! in 2018.
