Four more classic Castlevania games are coming to the Nintendo Switch, joining the Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Castlevania Advance Collection already available on the platform. Even better, they're available later today.

The collection announced during Tuesday's Nintendo Direct will include ports of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. Of them all, Dawn of Sorrow is regarded as one of the best games in the series, while Order of Ecclesia is one of the rarest. Portrait of Ruin, for its part, is considered one of the weaker entries, but it does have some fun connections to Castlevania Bloodlines.

In addition, the collection will include Haunted Castle, the 1987 arcade game. The full collection is also available on Steam.

The release of the Castlevania DS Collection means that virtually every major 2D Castlevania game will be available on the Switch save, strangely enough, Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night — two of the most beloved entries in the series. Maybe someday, vampire hunters.

The bundle brings together the trilogy of Castlevania titles that originally debuted on the Nintendo DS; that means Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. As a bonus, the 1987 arcade game Haunted Castle is also included. Konami says that the games have been updated with “extra features such as save states or rewind.” That might make up for the lack of a second screen for displaying the map.

With the launch, the Switch is slowly turning into the ideal Castlevania machine thanks to a number of other bundles, like the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, along with the Castlevania Advance Collection, which similarly gathered together a trilogy of beloved GBA games. Now we just need a port of Castlevania Requiem with Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood to complete the set.

And if you don’t have a Switch, the Dominus Collection is also coming to other platforms, including PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

Castlevania Dominus Collection: Features

The Castlevania Dominus Collection is a welcome addition to the growing library of Castlevania games on the Switch. It includes three of the best games in the series, as well as a bonus arcade game. The collection also features a number of new features, including save states and rewind. These features help to modernize the games and make them more accessible to a wider audience.

Castlevania Dominus Collection: A Second Life for Classic DS Games

The collection is a testament to the enduring legacy of the Castlevania series. It's also a great way for new players to experience some of the best games in the series. The Castlevania Dominus Collection is a must-have for any fan of the Castlevania series.

How it Handles Without a Second Screen

The DS games were designed with the dual-screen system in mind, so porting them to a single-screen console is a challenge. However, Konami has found a way to make it work. The map, which was previously displayed on the bottom screen, is now displayed on the side of the screen in a customizable window. The touch screen controls have also been adapted for the single-screen setup, with players able to use the analog stick to move the cursor around.

These changes don't feel jarring, and they preserve the core gameplay experience of the original games. Fans of the series will be able to pick up these games right where they left off, while newcomers will be able to enjoy them without any trouble.

Castlevania Dominus Collection: A Must-Have for Fans

If you're a fan of the Castlevania series, then you need to check out the Castlevania Dominus Collection. It's a great way to experience some of the best games in the series. The collection is available now on Switch, PS5, Xbox, and PC.

If you're looking for a way to experience the classic Castlevania games on a modern platform, then the Castlevania Dominus Collection is the perfect choice for you.
