Catfish and the Bottlemen Are Going Stadium-Sized

Multi-platinum selling indie rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen have taken a huge leap forward in their career, announcing their first-ever headline stadium concerts. The band, fronted by the charismatic Van McCann, will bring their high-energy live shows to Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on August 1st, 2025, followed by a performance at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on August 3rd, 2025.

This news comes on the heels of a triumphant summer for the band. They sold out Liverpool’s Sefton Park, a venue with a capacity of 32,000, and played two nights at Cardiff Castle. They are also set to headline the Reading and Leeds Festival for the second time this month, before embarking on tours in the US and Australia. With such a packed schedule, Catfish and the Bottlemen are proving that their popularity isn’t slowing down.

Catfish and the Bottlemen: A Decade of Success

The band’s journey to stadium status began in 2014 when they signed with Island Records. Their debut album, The Balcony, quickly surged into the UK Top 10 and propelled them to winning the British Breakthrough Act at the BRIT Awards. Their following album, The Ride, reached the coveted number one spot on the charts, cementing their place as one of Britain’s most successful bands of the 21st century.

Since then, they have garnered over one billion streams, sold two million albums, and are nearing ten million singles sold. McCann, who has been hailed as a modern rock great, has captivated over two million fans with his electrifying performances. This year, the band is celebrating the tenth anniversary of The Balcony with a special reissue. Fans can get their hands on limited-edition CD, cassette, and LP formats with six bonus tracks. A limited-edition 7” box set will also be available featuring the full album, along with the Ewan McGregor version of ‘Hourglass’ and the rare song ‘ASA.’
