Among their rivals for the first round of the tournament are Armenian side FC Noah.
Founded in 2017, just seven years ago, the Armenian Premier League side will be competing in their first ever European campaign.
After securing a spot in the Conference League's qualifying round with a second-place league finish last term, Noah advanced through to the group stage after a 4-3 aggregate win over Slovakian side Ruzomberok.
Prior to this, they had knocked out 13-time Greek champions AEK Athens, having already come through two previous qualifiers against North Macedonia's Shkëndija and Maltese outfit Sliema.
The competition new boys' impressive run through qualifying is made all the more impressive given that they effectively started the season from scratch, making 16 new signings this summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea booked their spot in the group phase with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Servette, despite losing 2-1 in the away leg.
It would certainly have been a very different experience for their players had they been drawn away from home however.
Based in the town of Armavir, which has a population of just 64,000, Noah play their home games at the 3,300-capacity Armavir City Stadium.
The tie will undoubtedly be the biggest in the club's short history.
Noah's major achievement is their 2019/20 Armenian Cup win, defeating league then league champions Ararat-Armenia on penalties to land their first ever trophy.
Unlike previous years, where teams were drawn into groups of four and everyone playing each other twice, this campaign will see a single 36-team league, with each side facing six different teams (three at home, three away).
The top eight clubs at the end of this stage advance directly to the round of 16, while sides finishing from ninth to 24th will contest the knockout round play-offs to earn their spot in the final 16.
A Number of Chelsea's League Rivals Will be Competing Elsewhere in Europe This Season
In the Europa League, Manchester United have been drawn against Fenerbahce, Porto, PAOK, Bodo Glimt, Viktoria Plzen, FC Twente and FCSB.
In the same competition, Tottenham will take on AS Roma, Rangers, AZ, Ferencvaros, Qarabag, Galatasaray, Elfsborg and Hoffenheim.
Meanwhile, the Champions League group phase will feature Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa.
The pick of the fixtures will see Liverpool take on Real Madrid at Anfield, while Arsenal and City will both face Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in their respective first-round clashes.
The first set of Champions League group phase fixtures will take place on Tuesday, September 17 while the Europa League and Europa Conference league get underway on September 25 and October 3 respectively.
