"Bethany has actually got quite a big storyline coming up within the next few weeks, few months," she told Digital Spy.
"It's going to be quite dramatic, quite emotional, which she should be used to right now! It's a good one for me to get my teeth into but it's going to be quite an emotional one for Bethany, playing into her insecurities. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out."

Keeping It A Secret: Lucy Fallon's Clever Pregnancy Disguise
Coronation Street favourite Lucy Fallon kept her pregnancy under wraps using some very clever tricks. The actress, 28, shared the happy news on Monday alongside a video featuring boyfriend Ryan Ledson and their son Sonny Jude, one. The Bethany Platt actress showed off her growing baby bump and wrote: "Half way there."
The TV star has been keeping her pregnancy a secret for over four months with some social media hacks. Lucy has been sporting a lot more baggy and oversized items of clothing in recent weeks. Last month the soap star partied with her fellow Corrie co-stars at their summer bash. Lucy wore a floaty and frilly khaki dress that cleverly hid her bump.
She captioned it: "Our summer sizzler!!!!!! So lucky to work with the best bunch of peeps." The Weatherfield star posed next to cast members Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley and on screen mum Tina O'Brien.
The telly star has been keeping fans updated with her life and took to her TikTok account to share a 'get ready with me' video. Lucy wore a large white t-shirt and only filmed from the top half as she carefully cropped her stomach out of the clip. This is not the first time that Lucy has uploaded videos from a clever angle. She has shared a number of photos of her sitting down with her arm in front of her belly. While other pictures include her posing at a table which blocks out her blossoming bump.
The star even addressed rumours of a second pregnancy just nine weeks ago when a friend placed their hand on her stomach. Lucy threw fans off in the comment section by saying: "No baby just a cup of the love." A follower has since commented under Lucy's post: "It appears she was fibbing!"
Lucy has been sharing a string of glam old photos from photoshoots rather than real time. She shared some incredible photos from her Fabulous shoot back in July. The actress usually keeps fans updated on her home life away from the cameras - but in recent weeks she's been suspiciously quiet. The cobbles favourite hasn't posted in three weeks. The star has remained off social media and only shared the odd, with her latest grid post being a sweet snap of her little boy.
Motherhood and Miscarriage: Lucy Fallon's Openness and Honesty
Lucy Fallon, best known for playing Bethany Platt, met Ryan through friends back in 2017, and had a baby together last January, a son named Sonny Jude. Ryan is a British professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Preston North End. Lucy previously quit Weatherfield in 2020 after five years, but returned last year. This year she appeared on reality series Drama Queens, alongside fellow Corrie stars Brooke Vincent and Ellie Leach. As well as sharing her highs, Lucy revealed on the show that before welcoming their son, she and Ryan, 26, tragically experienced a miscarriage when they first got together.
Speaking about her first scan, she said: "I didn’t expect anything to be wrong. That was one of the most difficult things me and Ryan have ever had to go through, and I think I really struggled with it after, because it felt like everybody sort of moved on. Everyone else’s lives sort of went back to normal, and I felt like I couldn’t."
Lucy previously told Ryan that she was keen to have a big family and would want at least three kids, but while Sonny is now in a better sleep routine she’s had a rethink. In an interview with The Sun on Sunday's Fabulous magazine just last month, she said: "I’ve changed my mind now. I couldn’t do it! My sister Laura has three – all boys, too. Maybe just one more. I do like being a young mum. I feel like I’m still 17, then I remind myself: ‘You are 29 this year!’ Having children changes things."
