Drama is scorching through the Dales this week, with a major fire threatening the lives of some of Emmerdale's most cherished characters. Ruby Fox-Miligan and Moira Dingle find themselves caught in a terrifying blaze, setting the stage for Mackenzie Boyd and Cain Dingle to perform a rescue operation. Caleb Miligan and Nate Robinson are tossed into the turmoil along with fresh face John Sugden, leaving viewers pondering, who will come out unscathed.

Taking viewers on a behind-the-scenes glimpse during Lorraine Kelly's talk show, Jeff Hordley, who portrays Cain, revealed, "Cain arrives to this scene having just found out that Moira and Nate have been up to no good in his eyes. He's just found out that Moira's now in a barn that's burning."

Lawrence Robb, who plays Mackenzie, confided, "I was just doing bits out in the field for Moira and I see it smoking and I realise something is wrong and I run in to try and save Moira."

Intriguingly, Jeff might have let slip a critical spoiler concerning the fire's aftermath, insinuating potential survivors, according to the Express. "With Cain and Moira I think there's more to come, the aftermath of this is not just going to be 'we saved you from the fire thank goodness you're alive' because there's things to unpick and questions to be asked I think," he mentioned, reports Leeds Live.

Are Jeff's comments a subtle confirmation that Moira and Cain escape the flames? If that's the case, what does it mean for Ruby, Nate, and Caleb? One thing is certain, it promises to be edge-of-your-seat viewing.

Beth Cordingly, who portrays Ruby, has also reflected on the intense scenes. She spilled that her character can't "reason" with Moira and the events ramp up very quickly after that.

Moira shoots a gun in the barn, luckily it hits the light and not Ruby. But there's looming disaster as oil spills all over the floor and then as Ruby wrestles Moira for the gun, she is knocked unconscious.

Meanwhile, Moira's erratic behaviour, which has included a recent seizure, has fans and residents alike puzzled. Natalie J Robb, who plays the troubled character, explained her worries and confesses Moira is "unsettled" by what's been going on. Natalie said Moira thought it was "early menopause" but that she begins to worry about her "outbursts" and continued to say Moira can no longer "control her anger".

Natalie added: "And she's having a little bit of a drink as well, so we don't know if that is a contribution to it also, but [she] is not drinking as much as maybe the audience are led to believe. And there lies the interesting stuff to come."

## Emmerdale's Moira Dingle's Fire Drama: Will Nate Robinson Survive?

Viewers of Emmerdale have been left fearing Nate Robinson will die in a deadly barn blaze in upcoming scenes in the ITV soap. The tragedy might - only might! - strike when Moira Dingle's spiraling behaviour sees her cause a fire on her farm.

The incident starts to unfold when the farmer tries to kiss Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter), and the situation is soon blown out of proportion - to the joy of Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly).

Following their affair history, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is convinced his wife Moira (Natalie J Robb) and son Nate have kissed again and wastes no time in looking for an explanation. But he soon turns to his fists and beats up his son.

All of the drama triggers flickers of deja vu in Moira's head. Shocked and stressed by the events, she slaps Cain. It's not long until Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) arrives at the barn to gloat, but soon feels sorry for Moira when she's unresponsive to her jibes.

Moira starts to spill tractor fuel in the barn when Ruby's voice begins to blur with her old nemesis Emma Barton's, who Moira killed in 2017.

Emma Barton's 'Return': Hallucinations and Fires

A stressed Moira padlocks the barn, seeing Emma instead of Ruby. But the situation takes a worrying turn when Moira fires a warning shot from her gun into the air, frightening Ruby, as the shot hits a light bulb, causing a spark to take hold.

A tussle for the shotgun ends with Moira dazing Ruby with a blow to the head. The barn quickly catches fire as Moira freezes next to Ruby.

Seeing the smoke coming from the barn at a distance, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) tries to get in touch with Moira.

A call from Mack informs Cain, Caleb Milligan (William Ash) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) of the fire and they speed off towards the barn. Exchanging a worried look when they meet at the barn, Mack and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) both go inside.

With them trapped in the burning barn, before long a huge explosion throws them all to the ground. Will they all survive the terrifying ordeal?

Fans Predict Nate's Fate: A Grim Outlook

Emmerdale fans have flooded social media with predictions on who they think will die in the fire, and Nate Robinson appears to be a favourite.

Taking to X, one person asked: "Why do I have a bad feeling that Nate is going to die in this fire? #Emmerdale."

A second suggested: "Sadly i think it's Nate but i keep going backwards and forwards over this! #Emmerdale", while a third echoed: "Fully thinking Nate is going to die now he's back with Tracy and she'll end up pregnant again #Emmerdale."

"Tracy and Nate back together, planning a new life in Shetland Islands..... oh he's definitely dying in next week's barn fire #Emmerdale", added another.

## The Haunting Return of Emma Barton

Emmerdale's Emma Barton "returns from the dead" in dramatic scenes set to air tonight as Moira Dingle hallucinates and starts seeing her old nemesis. Fans will remember Emma was the mum of Pete, Ross, and Finn Barton, and estranged wife of James Barton. She was tracked down by son Finn back in 2015, years after abandoning her family.

She then went on to kill her ex-husband James Barton and by the following year her crime had caught up with her and she went into meltdown. As she tried to run away from the village, she accidentally shot her son Finn dead, before she was pushed from a viaduct by Moira in October 2017.

Moira's confusion believing that Ruby-Fox Milligan is Emma leads to a fire breaking out. An unrecognisable Moira padlocks the barn and frightens Ruby by firing a warning shot with her shotgun into the air. The shot hits a light bulb, causing a spark to take hold.

There is then a tussle for the shotgun, which ends with Moira hitting Ruby over the head. Meanwhile, the spark catches the tractor fuel and quickly becomes a full on blaze. However, Moira is confused and she freezes helplessly next to Ruby’s unconscious body. Will they escape the fire alive?

Fans of the soap with remember that Moira was responsible for Emma's death back in 2017. Her son Adam Barton took the fall for the murder as he was already a prime suspect and he didn't want Isaac to grow up motherless, reports the Mirror.

Moira confessed everything to the police, but they dismissed her confession, accusing her of trying to protect Adam. She confessed simply "snapped" during a confrontation with Emma, particularly when Emma blamed her for the death of her daughter Holly Barton, who tragically passed away due to a drug overdose in 2016.

The character of Emma was brought to life by Brookside legend Gillian Kearney, and with her character being referenced on the show this week, fans must be curious about what the 52-year-old actress has been up to recently.

Post-Emmerdale, Gillian swapped acting for directing, having directed the drama series Clink in 2019 and an instalment of the BBC series Moving On in 2020. But she hasn't left acting altogether; Gillian appeared in the much-loved ITV drama Vera not long ago, portraying Deborah McSwain opposite Shaun Dooley.

Gillian is best known for playing Debbie McGrath in Brookside and the spin-off mini-series Damon and Debbie. She also played Jessica Harrison in Casualty, Silent Witness, Shameless and Suspects.

The TV star has one son, John Gerard Foo, with her long-time partner Eddie Foo after the pair got together in 2009 and on stage, she has appeared frequently at Liverpool's Everyman Theatre in Macbeth, Alice in Wonderland and Othello.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
