Ethiopia and Lesotho Play to a Draw in Second Friendly

Ethiopia and Lesotho played to a 0-0 draw in their second international friendly on Friday, March 24th. The match was played at the Addis Ababa Stadium in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and was the second of two friendlies between the two teams. The result leaves Ethiopia with a 1-1-1 record in their last three matches, while Lesotho's unbeaten streak extends to three games.

Ethiopia started the match brightly and had the better of the chances in the opening stages. However, they were unable to make their dominance count and Lesotho grew into the game as the half wore on.

The second half was a more even affair, with both teams having chances to win the game. However, neither team could find the back of the net and the match ended in a draw.

The result was a fair reflection of the match, with both teams showing good attacking intent but lacking the quality in the final third to win the game.

Missed Opportunities

Both teams had chances to win the game, but neither could find the back of the net. Ethiopia had the better chances in the first half, but they were unable to convert their dominance into goals. Lesotho had a few good chances in the second half, but they were also unable to find the finishing touch.

One of Ethiopia's best chances fell to Getaneh Kebede in the first half. The forward was played through on goal, but he fired his shot wide of the post. Lesotho also had a good chance in the second half when Thapelo Mokhehle found himself in space in the box, but his shot was saved by the Ethiopian goalkeeper.
