Hundreds of hungry customers will be able to get free lunch next week as Zambrero celebrates the opening of its third Cork city location. The first 300 people through the doors of the popular Mexican restaurant's new Little Island store will get a special new menu item. Zambrero is giving away complimentary Chicken Chipotle burritos - the latest addition to its menu.
The new restaurant at Spar in Eastgate opens on Monday, but the free burrito promotion is on Wednesday, September 25.
Zambrero's Expansion in Ireland
Zambrero first arrived in Cork in 2017 with the opening of the popular Dennehy's Cross location, which was an instant hit. The brand opened its second Cork store in Douglas Village last year. The opening of the Little Island branch marks the 26th Zambrero location in Ireland and the brand is plannings further expansion in 2025.
Ireland was introduced to the burrito brand back in 2016 when former Leinster and Connacht rugby player Darragh Fanning opened a Zambrero in Dublin. He was inspired after helping friend and teammate Shaun McCarthy establish two locations in Australia. Darragh is still the General Manger of the brand in Ireland to this day.
A Warm Welcome in Cork
