The Swedish theatrical rock band Ghost is bringing its just-announced tour to Louisville. The KFC Yum! Center will be host to the band which is known for its rock opera-like metal ballads, elaborate face makeup/wardrobe, and giant, on-stage spectacles. “GHOST: World Tour 2025” comes to the downtown venue on July 25.
The band's fifth album, “IMPERA,” debuted at No. 1 in a sweep of the U.S. album charts in 2022. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, Nov. 1 with a Citi presale starting Tuesday, Oct. 29.
The 2025 tour will be Ghost’s first outing since its RE-IMPERATOUR 2023 tour. The last shows of that tour were used to make the band's debut feature film “RITE HERE RITE NOW.”
News of the tour first broke via a new installment of Ghost’s long running Chapters webisode series, which picks up immediately following the events at the conclusion of “RITE HERE RITE NOW.”

Overall, it raked in roughly $5 million during its worldwide release, with additional screenings added due to high demand. A physical release on Blu-Ray, DVD, and VHS is set for December 6th.
Ghost's Rise to Stardom
Ghost has played sold-out shows throughout the U.S. and Europe and has racked up more than 10 billion streams with its catchy, theatrical rock music. The group filmed two U.S. shows -- sold-out nights at the Kia Forum in L.A. -- and compiled them into a feature film and accompanying live soundtrack album, “Rite Here Rite Now.” The film is available to stream on VEEPS and the soundtrack was released in July. The band broke the news of the tour via a humorous, self-deprecating video in their long-running “Chapters” webisode series.
Ghost's Unique Style
The Grammy-winning rock band - led by the mysterious, ever-changing frontman currently calling himself Papa Emeritus IV (a.k.a singer and composer Tobias Forge) -- is embarking on it biggest world tour yet, with more than 55 shows in the U.S., Europe and Mexico through much of 2025. The band has played sold-out shows throughout the U.S. and Europe and has racked up more than 10 billion streams with its catchy, theatrical rock music. The band's fifth album, “IMPERA,” debuted at No. 1 in a sweep of the U.S. album charts in 2022.
Ghost's New Chapter
Well, it looks like 2025 will open the next chapter of Ghost. Ghost has announced their biggest world tour to date and they're not giving away the name of said tour just yet. Y'know, because it's probably named after whatever the next album is and you're not getting that info now. It'll also be Ghost's first tour with whoever is replacing Papa Emeritus IV fronting the band, despite Papa Emeritus IV being very alive in the below video. The tour will be Ghost’s first outing since its RE-IMPERATOUR 2023 tour.
