Justin Theroux and Nicole Brydon Bloom are enjoying a romantic getaway in Ischia, Italy. The Beetlejuice actor is sharing some sweet PDA with his girlfriend, Nicole Brydon Bloom. On Tuesday, Aug. 20, Theroux, 53, posted a photo to his Instagram Story showing himself wrapping his arm around and planting a kiss on Bloom's cheek against an oceanside backdrop. The pair sported coordinating outfits, with Nicole donning white trousers with a black fitted crop top, while Justin wore the inverse, black jeans paired with a Louis Vuitton belt and a classic white t-shirt. The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star left no caption on the post, which appears to mark the first time he has publicly shared a photo with Bloom, 30, on his social media page. Bloom, whom he was first seen spending time together with in February 2023, has shared a number of photos of the pair together, most recently on her main Instagram grid with two black-and-white photographs she posted on Aug. 8. The couple was first seen together in February 2023 at celebrity-favorite New York City members-only club Zero Bond, where they were photographed alongside her The Gilded Age co-star Louisa Jacobson — Meryl Streep's daughter — and Queer Eye star Tan France.
The Couple's Relationship Timeline
The pair made their official red carpet debut in March at the Vanity Fair Oscars party, but they’ve yet to publicly comment on their relationship. It is Theroux’s first romance since his 2018 divorce from Jennifer Aniston.
Theroux, who was previously married to Jennifer Aniston from 2015 until their 2018 divorce, was first seen in Bloom's company when they were photographed with Tan France and actress Louisa Jacobson, whom Bloom works with on HBO's The Gilded Age, at a Netflix event at the N.Y.C. social club Zero Bond.
In August 2023, the pair were seen sharing a kiss during a date night at the Manhattan restaurant Altro Paradiso. Theroux and Bloom were then spotted leaving a gym together in N.Y.C. in October 2023.
Theroux joined Bloom as her date at her twin sister's wedding in December 2023 and shared a mirror selfie featuring the Mulholland Drive actor following the event, which appeared to mark the first time she posed with Theroux on her social media. Since then, the actor has appeared in a number of her posts, including in a photo carousel she shared on Aug. 17.
The pair made their red carpet debut at Vanity Fair's Oscar party in Los Angeles and later attended Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup's nuptials in Mexico City in June 2024.
Theroux's Views on Dating
In May 2023, Theroux briefly discussed his preference to keep his romantic relationships private during an interview with Esquire, just a few months before he was first photographed on a date with Bloom. At the time, he said it's “much more fun not being in a public relationship.”
“There's something to, once you're out of that, where I want all of my relationships to exist within the four walls of whatever room we're in,” he added in that interview.
The nature of Theroux and Bloom’s initial connection is currently unknown, but he always knew what he wanted in a partner from watching his parents.
“Early on, I went into relationships very cautiously,” he told Esquire at the time. “I had to navigate, and still have to navigate, how to have relationships and communicate and be an adult. You meet different kinds of women in your life, who teach you different lessons about what gives you the best chances of success with being satisfied in a relationship. The only relationship where I think codependency should be totally encouraged is with a dog.”
Looking Ahead
Theroux will next appear on the big screen in the upcoming Beetlejuice sequel, while Bloom most recently appeared in the Hulu miniseries We Were the Lucky Ones.
