Manchester United Beat Real Betis 3-2 in Pre-Season Test
Marcus Rashford, Amad, and Casemiro got themselves on the scoresheet in the first half as United came from behind to win.
Despite falling behind with just 15 minutes on the clock, United went into the half-time break with a 3-1 advantage. Rashford levelled things up almost immediately, scoring via the penalty spot after Amad was tripped.
The lively Ivorian then turned the game on its head just six minutes later, rifling in an emphatic left-footed effort after good work by Harry Amass down the left. It was nothing more than what his showing had deserved.
United added a third goal to their tally on 31 minutes through Casemiro, who turned the ball home from close quarters after Rashford kept a corner routine alive. It capped off a really impressive and entertaining first-half showing from Erik ten Hag's side.
United continued to carry the greater threat after half-time and went close to scoring a fourth goal on a couple of occasions. Betis, however, completed the scoring via Diego Llorente just past the hour mark.
Erik ten Hag will be pleased with his team's performance, particularly in the first half. United showed good attacking intent and created several chances. They will also be pleased to have come from behind to win.
The victory will give United confidence ahead of their next pre-season game against Liverpool on Saturday. Ten Hag will be hoping that his team can continue to improve and build momentum ahead of the new season.
Injury Concerns for Ten Hag
Erik ten Hag will be concerned about the injury to Marcus Rashford, who limped off in the second half. The England international has been in good form during pre-season and will be a key player for United this season.
Ten Hag will also be without Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund, who both suffered injuries in the defeat to Arsenal last weekend.
Real Betis Reaction
Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini will be disappointed with his team's performance, particularly in the first half. Betis were second best for much of the game and were fortunate to come away with a 3-2 defeat.
Pellegrini will be hoping that his team can improve ahead of their next pre-season game against Barcelona on Saturday.
Man of the Match
Amad was Man of the Match for United. The Ivorian winger was a constant threat to the Betis defence and scored a superb goal.
