The Red Devils kick off their European campaign at Old Trafford against Dutch side FC Twente. Erik ten Hag's Man United side will look to build on their recent good form as they start their Europa League campaign on Wednesday at home against FC Twente.

The Red Devils have recently chalked up big wins over Southampton in the Premier League and Barnsley in the Carabao Cup, but were held to a goalless draw away at Crystal Palace in the EPL at the weekend.

They now come up against a Twente side that's currently in fourth place in the Dutch Eredivisie with three wins and two draws from their opening six domestic fixtures.

This tie forms part of a new league phase in the rejigged, 36-team Europa League which sees each club play at least eight matches.

How to Watch Man United vs FC Twente

Below, we'll outline the best live TV streaming services to use to watch every game live wherever you are in the world.

When Is the Match?

Man United host Twente at Old Trafford on Wednesday, May 25. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. BST local time in the UK, which is 3 p.m. ET or 12 p.m. PT in the US and Canada,  and 5 a.m. AEST on Friday, May 10, in Australia.

How to Watch From Anywhere in the World

If you find yourself unable to view the game locally, you may need a different way to watch this match -- that's where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to stop your ISP from throttling your speeds on game day by encrypting your traffic, and it's also a great idea if you're traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network, and you want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins.

With a VPN, you're able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to the game. Most VPNs, like our Editors' Choice, ExpressVPN, make it really easy to do this.

Is Using a VPN Legal?

Using a VPN to watch or stream sports is legal in any country where VPNs are legal, including the US, UK and Canada, as long as you have a legitimate subscription to the service you're streaming. You should be sure your VPN is set up correctly to prevent leaks: Even where VPNs are legal, the streaming service may terminate the account of anyone it deems to be circumventing correctly applied blackout restrictions.

Our Recommended VPN for Watching Sports

ExpressVPN is our current best VPN pick for people who want a reliable and safe VPN, and it works on a variety of devices. It's normally $13 a month, but if you sign up for an annual subscription for $100 you'll get three months free and save 49%. That's the equivalent of $6.67 a month with code SPECIALDEAL, which should be automatically applied.

Note that ExpressVPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

How to Watch the Match in the US

American soccer fans can stream this game via Paramount Plus, which has exclusive live English-language broadcast rights in the U.S. for the Europa League.

Paramount Plus has two main subscription plans in the U.S.: Essential for $8 per month and Premium for $13 per month. Both offer coverage of the Europa League.

The cheaper Essential option has ads for on-demand streaming and lacks live CBS feeds as well as the ability to download shows to watch offline later. Newcomers to the service can take advantage of a 30-day free trial, while students may qualify for a 25% discount.

How to Watch the Match in the UK

Live broadcast rights in the UK for this game are with TNT Sports.

TNT Sports is offering Europa League matches exclusively live this season to viewers in the UK. You can access TNT Sports in exactly the same way as its predecessor BT Sport, including via Sky Q as a TV package, as well as the option of streaming online. It costs £31 either way and comes in a package that includes Discovery Plus' library of documentary content.

How to Watch the Match in Canada

If you want to stream Europa League games live in Canada, you'll need to subscribe to DAZN Canada. The service has exclusive broadcast rights to the tournament this season.

A DAZN subscription currently costs CA$30 a month or CA$200 a year and will also give you access to Champions League and EFL Championship soccer, Six Nations rugby and WTA tennis.

As well as dedicated apps for iOS and Android, there's a wide range of support for set-top boxes and smart TVs.

How to Watch the Match in Australia

Football fans Down Under can watch Europa League matches on streaming service Stan Sport, which has exclusive rights to show the competition live in Australia this season.

Stan Sport will set you back AU$15 a month (on top of an AU$12 Stan subscription), but the streaming service is currently offering a seven-day free trial.

A subscription will also give you access to Champions League and Europa Conference League action, as well as international rugby and Formula E.

Man United Add Seven Players to Europa League Squad

Manchester United have added seven players to our Europa League squad via the B list. Club-trained players born on or after 1 January 2003, who have been with their employers for an uninterrupted period of a minimum of two years, are allowed to be considered for selection, in addition to the original 25-man group.

An unlimited number of players can be registered on the B list during the campaign but the paperwork must be completed no later than midnight (CET) on the day before a game.

With our first assignment rapidly approaching tonight (20:00 BST kick-off), against Erik ten Hag's former club FC Twente, there are more options available to the boss for the Old Trafford encounter.

As expected, regulars Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are included, as they fall into this category due to their youth, despite already establishing themselves in the senior game and both scoring in last season's Emirates FA Cup final victory over Manchester City at Wembley.

Garnacho scored his maiden goal for the first team in this competition, the winner away to Real Sociedad in November 2022.

Toby Collyer, who made his Premier League debut against Liverpool earlier this month, is also included and the midfield ranks are further swelled by Dan Gore and Sam Mather.

Both Academy men played in the Under-21s' entertaining 3-3 draw at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night in the EFL Trophy. It was a first outing of the season for Gore, with the 19-year-old (he turns 20 on Thursday) captaining the team, while Mather opened the scoring in the first half.

Defender Louis Jackson came on as a substitute for Gore just past the hour mark and claimed the stoppage-time equaliser. The Scotland Under-19 international is also on the B list.

United won a penalty shootout 5-3 to take a bonus point in the Bristol Street Motors-sponsored competition.

The seventh man on the list is Ethan Wheatley, who also played at the Eco-Power Stadium and converted one of the penalties in the shootout.

The homegrown striker has been around Erik's senior squad of late, after making three Premier League appearances in 2023/24.

Man United vs FC Twente Preview

Although only five substitutes can come on, up to 12 can be named on the bench for European fixtures.

A 25-man list has been submitted to UEFA ahead of the opening game later this month.

Hello there. The bad news for Manchester United is that they’re back in the Europa League; the good news is that they have a chance of winning it. That hasn’t been the case in the Champions League since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement; they haven’t reached a semi-final since 2011 and last season they finished bottom of their group.

For the time being, the Europa League is United’s level. They won it in 2017, were runners-up in 2021 and reached the quarter-final in Erik ten Hag’s first season. The new format means no Champions League teams will gatecrash the knockout rounds, so the winner will come from the 36 teams in the league stage. The contenders include Spurs, Lazio, Roma, Athletic Bilbao, Porto, Real Sociedad, Eintracht Frankfurt, Galatasaray and Jose Mourinho.

United start at home to FC Twente, who finished third in last season’s Eredivisie after Ajax went awol. Three is the operative number: that’s how many spells Ten Hag had at Twente during his playing career, so this match will mean a lot to him. It won’t be easy, but United can’t afford a false start: their next two Europa League games are away to Porto and Mourinho.

Man United vs FC Twente Starting Lineups

The nature of the modern United is that they cannot be trusted. They will inexplicably fail to do the basics of defending. They will contrive comical ways to have goals ruled out for offside. They will waste opportunities. In part it’s quality, in part it’s mentality, in part it’s the area where the two meet, and in part it’s confidence.

Last week we scored seven against Barnsley, we are capable of scoring many goals, but it’s a part of the game we have to improve.

The Uruguay midfielder Manuel Ugarte will make his full debut for United. Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire also return to the starting XI, with Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Matthijs de Ligt moved to the rotation seats in the dugout.

FC Twente make a couple of changes to the team that won 5-0 away to Almere on Sunday. The captain Ricky van Wolfswinkel, once of Norwich City, and Michel Vlap replace Daan Rots and Carel Eiting.

Man Utd (4-2-3-1) Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, Martinez, Dalot; Ugarte, Eriksen; Amad, Fernandes, Rashford; Zirkzee.Substitutes: Bayindir, Heaton, De Ligt, Mount, Hojlund, Garnacho, Casemiro, Antony, Evans, Mainoo, Collyer.

FC Twente (possible 4-2-3-1) Unnerstall; Van Rooij, Hilgers, Bruns, Salah-Eddine; Regeer, Vlap; Van Wolfswinkel, Steijn, Van Bergen; Lammers.Substitutes: El Maach, Tyton, Lagerbielke, Kjolo, Kuipers, Eiting, D Rots, Van Hoorenbeeck, Mesbahi, Ltaief, M Rots, Besselink.

Referee Simone Sozza (Italy)

Kick off 8pm.
