In a statement, they said: "Following the discovery of a body earlier today [Tuesday] in Co. Meath, the missing person appeal in respect of 32-year-old Olamide Adekunle, who was reported missing from Balbriggan, Co. Dublin since Wednesday 11th September 2024, has been stood down.

Gardaí believed Olamide may have travelled from the Drogheda area via taxi to Gormonston, Co Meath where he was last seen at approximately 8:40pm Wednesday evening.
