The Nectar Classic Memory Foam and DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress are both the signature beds off their respective mattress-in-a-box brands. While they offer incredible value for money, there are some key differences between the Nectar Classic Memory Foam vs DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress. In this Nectar vs DreamCloud mattress comparison guide, we will explore which mattress in a box you should buy this Labor Day.

Nectar and DreamCloud are reputable brands, producing beds that feature in this year's best mattress guide for all sleepers. DreamCloud is behind the affordable but luxurious DreamCloud Hybrid, while Nectar's flagship mattress is the contouring all-foam Nectar Classic.

While timing a mattress purchase to coincide with the upcoming Labor Day mattress sales almost guarantees big savings, evergreen mattress sales at DreamCloud and Nectar mean you won't have to worry about when you buy a Nectar vs DreamCloud mattress. If you're deciding whether to buy the Nectar Classic Memory Foam vs DreamCloud Hybrid this week, this comparison piece will help guide you towards the right mattress for you.

Nectar Classic Memory Foam Mattress: was from $934 now from $349 at Nectar Sleep

The Nectar Classic Mattress is now 40% off this Labor Day, with a queen reduced to $649 (was $1,387). It also comes with free shipping and returns, a forever warranty, and a365-night sleep trial.

The DreamCloud Hybrid: was from $1,013 now from $419 at DreamCloud Sleep

Thanks to a site-wide 50% off sale, the luxury hybrid offers affordable luxury at $665 for a queen (was $1,483). Benefits include a lifetime warranty, free shipping and returns, and a 1-year sleep trial.

Both the Nectar and DreamCloud rank highly in our best mattress in a box guide, and both comes with strong sleep trials, and deals. Plus, both come with amazing, generous extras: a year-long at-home sleep trial, free shipping and free returns, and a lifetime warranty. To sweeten the deals, both mattress also come with an offer on a bedding bundle.

Price-wise, both sit in the mid-range price bracket - which offers incredible value. A regular 40% off discount at Nectar, takes a queen down from $1,387 to $649 (saving you $738). Meanwhile, a 50% off sale at DreamCloud means you'll always get a queen for $665 (was $1,483), saving you $818.

Both mattresses are twelve inches thick, but there aren't much similarities between the Nectar and DreamCloud in terms of design. The Nectar Classic has an all-foam construction of three internal layers, plus a cooling cover and a shift-resistant lower cover. The first layer is 1" thick and made from memory foam for contouring pressure relief. The 3" middle layer is then made from supportive foam to promote healthy spinal alignment, and the last layer is made from eight inches of conventional foam for motion isolation and stability.

In comparison, the DreamCloud boasts six internal layers, sandwiched between a shift-resistant lower cover (complete with handles for an easy move) and a breathable cashmere blend top cover. Four layers of foam (including two gel-infused memory foam layers) sit on top of a tier of individually wrapped coils for an airflow boost, sturdy edge support, for reduced motion transfer.

Nectar Classic Memory Foam vs DreamCloud Hybrid: Feature comparison

While we haven't yet had a chance to test either of these mattresses (both are new, revamped models), we have tested the original designs the Nectar Memory Foam Mattress and the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid Mattress. Please keep in mind that some of the features we tested may be different to the features found in the new models (for example, the DreamCloud is now 2" shorter than the first version), but both mattress are fundamentally similar to their predecessors.

In our Nectar Mattress review, we found the original Nectar Mattress to offer a good balance of support and comfort, good temperature regulation (considering its memory foam construction), and sink-in softness for side sleepers. However, testers felt that stomach and back sleepers may need to go for something a little firmer.

On the other hand, testers for the DreamCloud Mattress review felt the original 14" DreamCloud was better suited to back and stomach sleepers, as side sleepers may take some time to adjust to its firmness. While DreamCloud billed it as a medium-firm 6.5/10, our testers felt it was a firm 8/10. In terms of temperature control, testers loved how the soft breathable cover kept them cool.
